Obtaining UK numbers
Since September 30 it is required to have registered business address to register UK number for business use. Any suggestions how to go around this? I've been forced to use US number recently and my connection rates have taken a hit quite badly because of it. What numbers you use to call UK market? What provider you use to obtain the number itself?

@Giulio Segantini For personal numbers they also ask for UK issued ID or place of residence/utilities bill on your name to get the number. I guess this is new.

@Giulio Segantini Interesting, and you are using number provided by parallel dialer vendor, right?
When Cold Calls missed call you back
Hey guys, As title says, how do you handle a cold call, calling you back if they missed it? I feel so unbelievably awkward when this happens and it really throws off my flow. I feel like the openers have to be changed completely, any tips/advice/guidance/scripts you guys are using would be awesome to see? Thanks!

I would simply go - Hi, would it ruin your day if I would say that you just called back to sales call?

Unfortunately I'm running slightly short of time to pay enough time to this community as I would like but I'm happy to see everyone being so engaged and open within this community. It is a sign of something great!
Procrastination and motivation
As sales people we aren't immune to procrastination and lack of motivation. Even top performers can struggle with this once in a while. How do you guys get motivated to make more calls? And how do you combat procrastination?

This is something that I have discussed more times I can count. In my experience, fire christened sales people don't struggle with procrastination because they have built strong discipline towards work. Just swallow the frog, take your most important/hardest/most not interesty or rudest follow-up call first and just click dial. After that it is smooth sailing :) And remember, a demo a day keeps the PIP away :)

@Kirill Madar Please do, it also works if you have your managers name instead of PIP there :)
Unlocking Gatekeepers - what's your technique?
For those of you who still deal with gatekeepers (probably in last resort, when you can't find mobile numbers), how do you get passed them? My go-to technique is quite simple, e.g.: "Microsoft Portugal good morning how can I help you?" "Good morning, [name of prospect] please" And that's it. They sometimes ask for more info but even when they do they generally end up trying to transfer the call. And you, what do you generally say to the gatekeeper?

There are many approaches but often times Gatekeepers are not actual gatekeepers, they might be colleagues of your prospect that simply happened to pick up the phone. Don't pitch them, but ask for help, more often than not, they will give you suggestion how you could reach the person you are looking after or recommend a better person to speak with :) Also, be aware for some of UK gatekeepers that work as shared space office managers, they share google doc with other gatekeepers where they type down company name and SDR name who has been reaching out. In one of my previous roles, we had quite large sales team and there were companies that were able to list 11 SDR names that has reached out within 3 years :D
