If you’re here, you deserve this, I’m passing it forward.
I have trusted Kistler rods since 2018 and use them exclusively. I believe they are the lightest most durable rods I’ve ever used and can account them for assisting with my success as a tournament angler. The owner, Trey Kistler, is a great veteran, Christian, and just a good guy altogether. You all are here to better yourselves as anglers, no matter what level or stage of the game you’re in. I am grateful of the person who introduced me to the rods so I’m passing it forward. I’d like to invite you to join Team Kistler and receive some great incentives on rods, reels, line, and other great products they come out with. I can also answer any questions you might have about them, which will be rolled into many of our conversations and courses. Use this link to apply and tell them Lance Burris invited you. Let me know if you get an acceptance letter. https://kistlerrods.com/pages/kistler-team-packet?srsltid=AfmBOoqGmY2cMLoXa-GhQghDDiyNT0-VmRhCbjvXI-nw0jV6wjnpUvJT

@Lance Burris I’m on the Kistler National Team and looking for a good cranking rod. Do you have one of their’s that you prefer?

@Frankie Haus I have several Heliums and KLXs and they’re both great rods but I’m looking for something with a moderate-fast action that’s a more parabolic bend for a treble hook bite.
Kayak or Boat, what’s your platform?
Starting to get a few members on here. I would like to see what ratio of kayak to boat owners are. Deciding where to fish and how are very different when I fish from a boat or kayak.

Forward Facing Sonar
This sometimes feels like politics, so let’s not get to that point, I’m just curious lol.

I don’t have it and don’t want it, which makes me a fool for fishing tournaments since the majority of competitors use it now. Just not how I want to fish.

@Lance Burris if I was in your shoes (25 years younger and chasing a professional fishing career) I'd probably break down and get it. But my gut just tells me it's a step too far on the water. I like having some mystery and the reward of figuring some things out without having it all laid out in front of me. And, fishing from a kayak, I prefer to keep things as simple and clutter free as possible.

Kayak angler, mostly for bass but occasionally get salty for reds, specks and flounder. I fish area kayak trails in Texas primarily east of I35.
