If you’re here, you deserve this, I’m passing it forward.
I have trusted Kistler rods since 2018 and use them exclusively. I believe they are the lightest most durable rods I’ve ever used and can account them for assisting with my success as a tournament angler. The owner, Trey Kistler, is a great veteran, Christian, and just a good guy altogether. You all are here to better yourselves as anglers, no matter what level or stage of the game you’re in. I am grateful of the person who introduced me to the rods so I’m passing it forward. I’d like to invite you to join Team Kistler and receive some great incentives on rods, reels, line, and other great products they come out with. I can also answer any questions you might have about them, which will be rolled into many of our conversations and courses. Use this link to apply and tell them Lance Burris invited you. Let me know if you get an acceptance letter. https://kistlerrods.com/pages/kistler-team-packet?srsltid=AfmBOoqGmY2cMLoXa-GhQghDDiyNT0-VmRhCbjvXI-nw0jV6wjnpUvJT
Southern bass on fire or frozen?
Some of you live in the south where it’s the bass fishing should be on fire right now. Some of you that live or are fishing in Florida right now will be enjoying sunrises like this as I wish I was again. Bassmaster anglers experienced fishing on fire but not just a few weeks ago, taking 28 lb limits to win the thing! Since then there’s been extreme cold, for Florida. This should make the fish feel like they’re dying lol, but as it warms that bite should ramp up. Florida is generally pretty shallow water which makes for big swings of the whole water column. My tip to finding those big Smart Bass, locate the ditches and depressions, map study, side scan if you’ve got it. I’ve had some experience in Florida, not as much as some of you but this is what I’d do. If I can’t find the bite and worry about getting a limit, I’ll head for the creeks and rivers, less water to hunt, and generally more active fish. Let me know your thoughts if you’re a Florida angler or have that experience. Good Luck to all the Bassmaster Kayak anglers this week.

Tube or jig?
Personally I’d throw a tube before a jig. It comes through cover better but lacks the better hookup ratio when rigged weedless. What do you prefer?

The classroom is growing! I appreciate you all and the input everyone contributes. 2026 is going to be a great year for you all and I hope I can contribute something to help the cause. I’d like to see how many people are still active on here. Just give this post a like if you’re seeing this and plan on fishing this spring.
