@Jonathan Ventura completely agree!
Memoirs of a Trespasser by Imaginary Authors - review
My initial post is below: https://www.skool.com/bos/memoirs-of-a-trespasser-by-imaginary-authors?p=e7524898 I saw several comparisons of this to By the Fireplace and I sorta get it but I also think this fragrance has a much woodsier, resinous aspect to it. it's got the warm smoke but it presents itself in a darker wilder way and the vanilla comes out slowly throughout the wear and eventually overpowers the resin, but until then it's a very natural sappy sweetness.That being said, it's oaky, softened with a gorgeous bourbon (maybe it isn't, but that's how it smells to me) vanilla. I mentioned in my initial thoughts that I get a “gentleman’s club” vibe, such as at a Country Club, of sitting in a room with a smokey air that isn’t pungent like cigarettes, but something from a pipe but mixed with something natural and as mentioned above, boozy. It's both grounding, and exciting. This truly is something special that teeters between something familiar, yet has a unique (at least to me) presence that keeps you hooked and compulsively sniffing it.

Great write up brother! I completely agree on your take on this one. It's familiar but unique and just has that "something" that keeps me wanting to wear it. It's more versatile than what I thought initially. I had a family get together and several people said it smelled like Christmas to them. I don't quite get that myself, but I guess it comes across festive in the air
SOTD – Midnight Raspberry by Day Three – I WAS WRONG!!!
Good Monday Morning, Brotherhood! I hope everyone had a restful and eventful weekend. I have to come clean and admit my wrongs… as the title suggests, boy, was I wrong. After seeing everyone’s raving reviews of this fragrance, I picked up a sample along with Ambar Dominicano. I was an immediate fan of Ambar Dominicano, but when I first sprayed Midnight Raspberry, I was completely turned off by my initial impressions and dismissed it almost instantly. ROOKIE MISTAKE!! I rushed the process and wrote off a fragrance without giving it the attention, patience, and focus that a scent of this caliber truly deserves. I was in a hurry, didn’t revisit it, and gave it no real afterthought something I think some have done at one point… myself included, obviously. Fast forward to today, I decided to slay the rest of this sample decant, but this time with intention. The opening is exactly where I stumbled the first time. Initially, I picked up a bit of funk, a jumbled mass of woody notes that I couldn’t quite pinpoint. I noticed that again on the second wearing, but this time I let it breathe… and it didn’t just develop, it blossomed. What followed was a beautiful, slightly gourmand raspberry wrapped in what I can only describe as a soft chocolate cloud. While chocolate isn’t listed in the note breakdown, I’m convinced the patchouli and Vietnamese agarwood combine to give off that warm, chocolatey nuance. It’s warm without being heavy or dreary, as the saffron and cedar add just enough lift to keep things airy and refined. The star player here is the raspberry, not sharp, but a fluffy, semi-sweet, whipped raspberry that’s downright addictive. This fragrance is for sure unisex in my book and is a refined, high quality profile. It’s not a projection monster and honestly, it shouldn’t be. If it were louder, it could easily become overwhelming. Instead, it creates a beautiful, intimate scent bubble that commands attention only when someone gets close if you catch my drift. This is prime date night territory perfect for the (Bow Chicka Bow Wow 😉) close encounters.

Memoirs Of A Trespasser by Imaginary Authors
Today’s chapter brings us to the Memoirs Of A Trespasser by Imaginary Authors is an Oriental Vanilla fragrance for women and men. The notes in this are Madagascar Vanilla, Guaiacwood, Myrrh, Benzoin Resin, Ambrette Seeds & Oak Barrels, plus there’s a natural dusting of spice i can’t place, but it’s somehow everywhere. The early exploration writing of Philip Sava bent the limits of post-modern fiction, revealing fantastical worlds that fooled many into believing they were, in fact, real. Sava’s kaleidoscopic collections, of which Memoirs of a Trespasser is the undeniable centerpiece, drew upon true experiences from his exotic travels but were infused with a hallucinatory inventiveness that set his work apart from others in the genre. Though Sava had associates all over the world, he spent most of his time living in solitude on a ranch in southern Madagascar. When interrogated by the press on his cloistered lifestyle he notoriously answered, “Who needs love when you have cognac?”

Great one right here. I believe this has become my favorite one in the entire line after several full wearings. I'll be anxious to read your thoughts on it as you spend some time with it

@Lon Chaneyfield agreed, it's one of my favorites from the house. I love how unique the red apple and tobacco come across for a mass appealing scent
