Yesterday Haze by Imaginary Authors - Review
My initial post is linked below: https://www.skool.com/bos/yesterday-haze-by-imaginary-authors?p=3f9022b9 It's sharp and powdery purple floral with a complement of woodsiness and warm spice. There's an ever-so-slight sweetness from the tonka and iris but it's more so sophisticated. Give it about thirty minutes and the entire mood shifts. It softens into something unexpectedly soft and creamy. It blooms into this lush, mellow blend of fruit nectar swirled with coconut milk. Sweet but smooth, rich without being cloying, and utterly delectable. There’s a mellow whisper of nutty sandalwood and glazed pecan weaving through, adding cohesiveness and depth. I’m enjoying going through my Imaginary Authors' discovery set and, though not a favorite, I feel like this isn’t too bad overall but I don't enjoy it enough to go for a full bottle.

Well said and described. This is another one that I feel is well done, but doesn't match my personal preferences so I didn't end up getting a full bottle of it. So far, you seem to experience these very similarly to how I perceive them. Thanks for the write up!
The Booze Wars: The Drinker - “If it tastes good, it counts.”
(Rum, Liqueur, & Sweet Decadence Bracket) The Drinker bracket is about intention. These fragrances don’t just reference alcohol, they lean into the pleasure of it! Sweetness, warmth, richness and indulgence take center stage, whether that comes from rum-soaked gourmands, liqueur-drenched fruits or syrupy spices that feel like dessert with a kick. Some of these scents are here to taste(smell) good, smooth and comforting from the first spray. Others still remind you there’s alcohol in the glass, but never at the expense of enjoyment. This bracket asks a simple question: are you drinking for pleasure… or for proof? Fragrance mindset: Boozy gourmands, liqueur-soaked sweetness, dessert drinks with backbone. These scents don’t whisper, they seduce. They lean in close, linger a little too long, and leave you wanting another sip. Personality: ● Smooth talker ● Indulgent ● Comfort-driven ● Knows the bar staff by name Values: ● Sweetness ● Warmth ● Richness ● That “one more drink won’t hurt” feeling The Big Question: Is the best boozy fragrance the one that like, "tastes" the best… or the one that proves it’s actually booze? This bracket isn’t really about rum, cognac or liqueur. It’s about why we drink in the first place! What say you, guys? Love to hear from ya'! OFFICIAL SEEDING (Realism vs. Wearability) (1) By Kilian Black Phantom Dark rum, coffee, sugarcane and bitter chocolate create this dense, indulgent gourmand with real boozy weight. I believe this scent is about pleasure first, but it never hides the fact that alcohol is driving the experience. It belongs in The Booze Wars because it’s the benchmark for modern boozy indulgence done unapologetically, imho! (2) Initio Side Effect Rum, cinnamon, tobacco and vanilla hit with this warm spice and seductive intensity. The booze here isn’t sweet fluff, it’s like... bold... heated... intentionally provocative! Side Effect earns its spot by proving that alcohol accords can be both dangerous and irresistibly wearable!

This is a monster of a group, wow. My vote would have to be Don though in the end
Loving my new cabinet.
The stand for my glasses will be arriving tomorrow and will go on the top shelf. I’m currently looking for some lighting. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Slow Explosions by Imaginary Authors - Review
Sorry for the delay, a late evening and early morning fires My initial post is below: https://www.skool.com/bos/slow-explosions-imaginary-authors?p=22652b7a At first spray, the apple, leather and rose are apparent. It's leathery, a bit smoky, as well as tart and boozy in a way that borders on smelling like wine. The apple is green and sour, the rose is heady, and the leather gives it a rustic feel. It reminded me of walking to a church in the summer that has that classic “church” smell ready for a beautiful wedding, but throughout has a hint of fermented apples that was slowly creeping in from a near by orchid. It’s not unpleasant by any means but an unexpected mixture that somehow works. It remains this way for most of the wear, with the leather and apple notes fading as the wear progresses though the rose remains steady. I couldn't pick up on any saffron in this, nor any cashmeran but admittedly they could be there just too subtle for my nose. This lasted on my skin for a little less than eight hours, I had to reapply before we ventured to last night’s festivities. Overall, this is a beautiful and nostalgic fragrance to me, fairly linear but what it lacks in evolution it makes up for with sensation.
