Streams and listeners from after the incident with Nat’s playlists
Hey guys. I hadn’t really looked at my streams over a long period of time (12 months) for a while and just checked it today. Even if they are steady climbing now, they really are a lot lower than before the incident, where all the playlists were taken down for for a while. Are you seeing similar curves? The 9th of June is the date Nat emailed, but the drop wasn’t complete untill a few days after that.

The secret sauce of Cafe Royal according to Laurence Harrison
Hey guitar waivers just thought you would be really interested in one of my favorite artists. I’ve been following Cafe Royale (Lawrence Harrison). I told him and was hoping he might agree to a podcast interview with Sebastian, but he gave me the next best thing. He was very nice and candid about summarizing his workflow. I copied his exact message to me from Facebook. Hope it helps you guys. “Hi Joe, I have been in this industry for over 20 years both as an artist manager, record label exec and recording artist, currently managing a number of labels representing around 600 artists Over that time I have built up a huge collection of samples that I have recorded and usually work 6 days a week in studio which results in the production of 2 to 3 tracks per week or an album every month, if you are a producer you may be familiar with the following, DAW is acid pro, plug ins are slate digital, Hard synths Beringher Poly D for bass lines, Jupiter XM for pads keys and brass, MPC Key 37 for various sample based patched, Beringher Linn drum clone, Arturia Astrolab, then lots of vsti too, guitars through a Fender modeling amp and Valeton effects pedals, cover art for releases is AI and mastering is via the ai mastering tool remasterify which speeds up work flow and reduces production costs, thanks for your offer of recommendation for interview however I have no interest in interviews.”

@Freddie Webber Freddie, thank you so much. You are very welcome. I wish I were as diligent as you in finishing your recordings and writing such beautiful music. I’m pretty much healed up (slightly disfigured) but in good spirits under the circumstances. Once I can find some time I hope to follow in your footsteps of finishing at least one of my songs to try and mix with Sebastian. Laurence Harrison was super kind to reply to a Joe Schmoe like me. I just love the kind and gentle personalities of the guitar waiver type creatives. It never ceases to amaze me and is a real oasis for me going through this season in my life. Laurence is currently working on a Christmas album and I’m excited to see how that turns out. Can’t wait to try and make it to our next live meeting. Relaxed energy to you all!!

what would you like to see more of in the community?
after moving, getting married, and finishing a big work project, I have time again to be more active in the community … and as you know me, when my motivation hits, I'm overflowing with ideas. but I want to build this community together. so let's decide what we'll do more of in the future. below you can vote on what you'd like to prioritize. if you have multiple favorites, please rank them in the comments. looking forward to being more active and social in here again. relaxed energy 🦦 PS: one free mentoring slot open. through regular 1-on-1 calls or video feedback, I help you with my full attention to become a better guitarwaver. if you're interested, shoot me a dm. first come, first serve. PPS: also how fun is this new camera setup :) who spotted the otter?

Congrats on the wedding Sebastian. It's so great to see you back. I remember how stressful all the wedding planning was and what a relief it was to have it behind us. Ironically, I'm so close to finalizing my marriage, but super excited to rebuild my life and take my passion for music off of its 24 year hiatus. Anyone who's found a partner that tolerates our passion for music is worth their weight in gold. I was hoping to try completing at least one of my many incomplete tracks so that I could humbly request a mentoring spot. unfortunately my oldest son sabotaged me by moving all my studio equipment around. (He's taking the divorce pretty hard, and I'm being made to look like the bad guy). I'm getting very close to finalizing my divorce and am hoping to have a place to call my own, but unfortunately until that happens I'm may not be ready for that any time soon and I'd rather keep it open for someone who is. I'm so inspired by all of you and sorry to sound like a broken record, I am so fortunate to be part of such a special collective. If it wasn't for this group, I'd be just be another guy with lots of equipment and no music to show for it. I've derived so much inspiration and courage to not only believe in myself, but To do all this for the right reasons. I'm not doing this to be famous, or rich, or approval. It's for the pure love and enjoyment of music and more and more creativity thanks to this group.

@Sebastian Jautschus I’m super interested in mixing and track feedback. I’m finding Logic Pro making more sense than Ableton especially since it won’t record my audio properly while fl studio, garage band and logic record audio fine with my scarlet interface. It’s a shame because I wanted to use Ableton for live looping.

Beatles cover and music video
Hey everyone, I'm very excited about this instrumental Beatles cover on my new EP, and it comes with a scenic music video too - filmed in south-east Australia's misty rainforests. If that sounds interesting, please give it a watch and a like (I'm trying to crack YouTube, haha) https://youtu.be/WfkNy9twi54 Cheers, Max

Miss u all- more creativity on the horizon
Quick update. Recovering from reconstructive surgery on my jaw. 3 months wired shut after a fracture subsequent of wisdom tooth extraction. Should get out today. Since my divorce proceedings when I first found this class, I’m down from 220lbs 38” waist to 170lbs 30” waist. You all have helped me stay positive and inspired with your calming music. I just want you to know I’m a super fan of you all. Slight nerve damage but should resolve in 12 months they say. Please keep me in prayer. Keep the beautiful music and chill vibes coming!! I feel part of something truly special. It’s such a cool thing watching you all grow and hone your crafts and share your talents/techniques so generously. So happy Hermanos Gutierez brothers music lead me here. Music is a magical thing. Please follow me on Tik Tok. “joecabrera36” I plan to start going live to keep practicing and getting better.

@Sebastian Jautschus it’s been a hell of an ordeal. I’m finally to the point that my wife and I are close to an agreement to finalize the divorce. I can’t wait to rebuild a new happy place to reconnect with my kids and move on. The music is a happy distraction, but I hope to produce once I have a peaceful constant space and routine. I’m still in exploration mode while I wait to land on solid ground. Thanks all for the support and follows. I’m hoping to go live on tik tok soon. Just need to gain enough followers to do my first broadcast.
