Not Sure If Rant Or Advice
If it is advice, it may not be good advice. The jury is still out. The reason it may not be good advice is because USPS adjustments probably count against you on a seller dashboard/scorecard, in the same way that seller-initiated cancelations do. I get anywhere from 1 to 5 postage adjustments on my ledger per show, and my seller metrics/score/standings don't seem to be negatively inpacted--yet? Anyway, this new bill back policy is probably affecting me to the tune of $200-300 per month. That's pretty gnarly. I'm probably catching a charge on something that is 6oz on the label but 8oz in the box. I wonder if it published material, showing how much it has to be over to bill it back to us. I doubt it. Aren't we always at the mercy of the post office? Don't get me started on the number of underweight boxes I ship. Probably 5x the number that are overweight. Do I get money back? No, the post office keeps that money, while they continue to raise rates like clockwork. I don't like clocks or watches. 😅😅 I welcome anyone to chime in on the subject, until then, here's the rant.

When giving reduced shipping (Normally 4.25 paid by buyer) the buyer pays for one item then free shipping. I set my weight to 1 ounce for everything. If a buyer purchases 14 more items it will then cost me 5.00 for anything they purchase up to 5 pounds, which is ALOT of jewelry. For me it is definitely worth the extra cost (marketing) and free shipping definitely helps buyers swipe more. I’ve only had to use the adjustment 2 times. I print packing slips, separate orders, box, weigh the print labels. My understanding is (and will verify ) that adjustments after the fact is not at discounted rates so I would suggest you send the packages out properly. I’m sure whatnot is tracking sellers on how many packages are being sent out with improper weights and if it is continuous with the same sellers you may get a mark on your account.
Rewards Club? Do you use it?
Now’s the time to change, keep or eliminate our Rewards club. I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether you use them or not should you want to share. TBH…I don’t fully understand the program. I probably won’t renew it.

I have requested to be given better statistics to improve our rewards club when we set up a new quarter based on our previous one. The guessing game for me was not worth trying it again.
Starting bids
I was recently asked by a newer seller about how they go about pricing items for their auction. My response was to let them know how I do it in terms of figuring out cost per item and going from there. 95% of my items are uniformly started at a lower bid amount while a few bangers go for higher. How do you all determine your starting bid amounts?

I think the amount of people you have in your show on average should be considered when determining your starting bid

@Bradley Johns whatnot beta test Reverse “Dutch” auctions. It was actually pretty cool! It never got added as a feature for us but it’s definitely fun!
Jewelry Identification
Hello all! I found this thrifting. It has some condition issues but I couldnt pass it up. I thought 1940s Czech or Austrian. I did notice that one of the gold beads is a different gold tone then the others so I believe that was replaced. Thoughts on time/origin? Thanks for the input.
