Love this post and your willingness not to 'stop the show' to dig through the abyss for one request 🤣 it does make for a quality improvement for the viewer! For me, it's always flats. I fill them and empty them. Zero long term storage because I sell every piece of jewelry on a chronological rotation. For stuff that's not consignment, it's really three staging areas. Precious metal, costume/designer, and high end ($100+ per piece, regardless of being Fine jewelery or Costums) no sorting by color or designer. I still don't hold anything long enough to warrant multiple categories. Sparkle in, sparkle out. If I had a retail storefront, of course this answer would be vastly different. If I have jewelry that may not catch a bid by the piece of $7 or more, I'll sell entire flat of 20+ pieces in one lot. Hopefully someone else will weigh in who does more Buy It Now or showcase type sales
