Since you askedโ€ฆ.I would appreciate help with setting up containers for my vegetable garden. I want to grow vertically with trellises. Cucumber and tomatoes for sure. Iโ€™ve seen mini watermelons that grow this way. Donโ€™t have a lot of space but I do have 4 raised beds 6โ€™x 3โ€™ ovals.

๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿงถ National Ugly Sweater Day: Make Your Plants โ€œDress Upโ€ for the Holidays
National Ugly Sweater Day is all about fun, personality, and not taking things too seriously. Which makes it the perfect day to let your plants join the celebration. No knitting required. No stress involved. Just a few quick, playful ways to โ€œdress upโ€ your plants using things you probably already have or can grab in one quick Dollar Store run. Letโ€™s give your plants their moment to shine (ugly sweaters optional). Plants are already part of your holiday dรฉcor: poinsettias, herbs, winter greens, porch pots. Adding a little personality: โœ” makes your home feel more festive โœ” encourages creativity โœ” sparks conversation โœ” is extremely photo-worthy โœ” makes winter gardening more fun And in true PGS fashion weโ€™re keeping it simple, inexpensive, and plant-safe. ๐ŸŽ ๐Ÿ. Keep an eye out for: * Mini scarves * Tiny hats or beanies * Felt ornaments * Holiday ribbon * Gnomes & figurines * Bottle-brush trees * Mini signs (โ€œJoy,โ€ โ€œHo Ho Ho,โ€ โ€œMerryโ€) * Pipe cleaners * Pom-poms * Mini stockings Almost anything small can become plant dรฉcor. ๐Ÿงฃ ๐Ÿ. ๐“๐ก๐ž โ€œ๐”๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐’๐ฐ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐‚๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ซโ€ (๐™๐ž๐ซ๐จ ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ญ ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ) This is one of the easiest and safest options. How to do it: * Cut a short strip of felt, ribbon, or fabric * Loosely wrap it around the pot, not the plant * Secure with tape or a bow This keeps fabric away from leaves and soil while still looking festive. Great for: * Herbs * Poinsettias * Christmas cactus * Houseplants on shelves ๐ŸŽ… ๐Ÿ‘. ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐ข ๐‡๐š๐ญ๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐”๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ (๐“๐จ๐ญ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐Ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ, ๐“๐จ๐ญ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐‚๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž) For sturdy plants like: * Rosemary * Snake plants * Dracaena * Small evergreens You can gently place: * A mini Santa hat * A tiny knit beanie * A felt cone hat ๐“๐ข๐ฉ: Rest it on the pot rim or a stake. Donโ€™t stretch leaves or tie anything tightly. ๐ŸŽ„ ๐Ÿ’. This is a crowd favorite. How to do it: * Glue mini ornaments onto skewers or craft sticks * Insert into soil near the back of the pot

๐ŸŒฟ The Thanksgiving Herb Garden: Sage, Thyme, and Rosemary in Pots
Thereโ€™s something special about seasoning your holiday feast with herbs youโ€™ve grown yourself. Whether you have a sunny windowsill or a few pots on the patio, growing Thanksgiving herbs like sage, thyme, and rosemary brings both beauty and flavor to your table. Fresh herbs elevate holiday dishes with vibrant aroma and taste โ€” and container gardening makes them easy to keep close at hand. These Mediterranean classics thrive in pots and can even move indoors when temperatures drop. ๐ŸŒฑ ๐’๐š๐ ๐ž: ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐’๐ญ๐ฎ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ง๐  Why it shines: Sageโ€™s soft, silvery-green leaves are the hallmark flavor of Thanksgiving stuffing. Its earthy aroma pairs beautifully with poultry and roasted vegetables. ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ซ ๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž: * Use a medium pot (10โ€“12 inches) with excellent drainage. * Place in full sun and water only when the top inch of soil is dry. * Pinch off flower spikes to keep growth leafy and full. Clip a few leaves just before cooking for the most intense flavor. Why it shines: Thyme adds subtle, savory notes to almost any dish โ€” from roasted potatoes to turkey gravy. Its tiny leaves pack a big punch! ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ซ ๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž: * Plant in a shallow pot or shared herb container. * Loves full sun and well-draining soil. * Donโ€™t overwater; thyme thrives on a little neglect. Snip stems just above a leaf node โ€” itโ€™ll encourage bushier regrowth for winter. ๐š๐ฏ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ž ๐–๐ก๐ฒ ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ Rosemaryโ€™s pine-like fragrance brings warmth to roasted meats and breads. Itโ€™s also a stunning ornamental plant that looks right at home in festive displays. ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ซ ๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž: * Choose a tall pot to accommodate its deep roots. * Provide bright light and let soil dry slightly between waterings. * Bring indoors before frost for a fragrant winter windowsill plant. ๐‡๐š๐ซ๐ฏ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ข๐ฉ: Cut young sprigs โ€” older stems can get woody and lose their potency. Combine your homegrown herbs to make a Fresh Herb Butter:
