A gentle reminder for your nervous system: You don’t have to be perfectly calm, regulated or “in the spirit” today. Presence isn’t a performance. It’s just… coming back to this moment, in this body, again and again. Today, presence might look like: - taking one slow breath before you walk into a busy room - feeling your feet on the floor while family conversations swirl around you - noticing “I’m overwhelmed” and stepping outside for 2 minutes of air - tasting your food instead of wolfing it down between tasks - catching yourself future-tripping and gently returning to right now If being present feels hard, that doesn’t mean you’re failing. It usually just means your nervous system has been in survival mode for a long time. A simple practice for today: Not being the perfect host. Not keeping everyone happy. Not pretending you’re fine. Just checking in with your body, a few times, and asking: 👉 “What do I need in this moment to feel 2% safer being here?” A sip of water. A breath. A boundary. A pause in the bathroom with your hand on your heart. That counts.
