Traction : Raise the Floor Thoughts
January is ending and many people have set goals that are aligned with their health for this month. Whether it was Dry Jan or Cold Plunge Challenge or Not Eating Out ... whatever it is that is awesome. The question now becomes how do you sustain that progress? You raise the floor. What does that mean? Instead of focusing on you keeping with your best habits of all time (ie this past month) what do you have to eliminate that will derail your progress the most? If you think in terms of raising the floor vs attaining the consistency of your habits at the highest peak. Another way to think about it is what do I have to subtract that is hindering me from achieving my health goals. Subtraction before addition. This will take you farther, with less work, and better results. Examples: Dry Jan ---> I will only drink 1x per week and have less than 2 drinks for Feb (8 drink total for Feb) You eliminated the binge drinking nights that leads to a plethora of bad actions Cold Plunge Challenge --> I will not go more than 7 days without cold plunging You eliminated the long gaps of not doing cold plunging Not Eating Out --> I will only eat out 1x per week at places where I know don't use poor oils You eliminated the completely processed carbs and rancid oils that derailed your entire week of eating clean What do you have to eliminate to raise the floor?

Putting my phone down 1 hour before bed, reading a book, and not picking my phone back up before actually going to sleep.
Fruit Free Beauty Products
Hi all! I did the food intolerance test through Haven and my main intolerance is fruit. I’m having a hard time finding hair care products that are fruit free, as most natural options use coconut/avocado/olives. Anyone else here fruit free with things that have worked for them? Or recipes of things you’ve made for yourself?

This is a tricky one. I have been using this one from Attitude lately, which still has citric acid in it, and personally it hasn't been bothering me. However, I'm always on the hunt for different fruit-free shampoo options. I just haven't found one yet that works for my very thick hair... 🥲 https://attitudeliving.com/products/oatmeal-sensitive-care-shampoo-extra-gentle-and-volumizing?variant=46393466782009&srsltid=AfmBOor7X_xB-vwP7YdtQy2b4973QjfBiGXropIHw2PNavs69WM_Pf0WXV0&gQT=1

Shower Water Filters?
I’ve recently moved into my dads house during my move between Chicago and Nashville. I noticed last week that I’ve started to have dandruff. Also my skin is getting really dry. I haven’t changed anything other than where I live. Still drinking Mountain valley water and haven’t changed my diet. Wondering if it’s the shower water and what water filters I can buy? Any recommendations?

@Aaron Bean Yes! That is the immediate difference I notice too. Florida water is pretty rough. The color is clear with the filter too... the tap water here is usually straight up yellow 🤢
