I tried opening Bank of America before and it didn't work. Couldn't verify me online, they asked me to go to a branch with 2 forms of ID. This time I try again. And it worked. What I did: I opened Advantage Plus Banking and Advantage Savings. During the application, I selected U.S. resident alien even though that's not technically my status. The account opened instantly - well, it went into review first, and after about 1 hour I got the approval email. No identity verification was asked this time. I also applied through the USD 500 cash bonus offer. The only thing I changed this time: I applied from my desktop using the Classroom setup with the USD 1 data proxy.

I applied for the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business last week as a sole proprietor using only my ITIN. No EIN, no LLC, and no current relationship with Chase. When I applied, it went to 7 to 10 business days review. On Monday I called back, and yesterday I called again and was told to wait for a letter. I asked if there was any way to upload requested documents online instead, and later Chase sent me the request by email. Today I uploaded my passport, proof of address, and copy of ITIN right away. After that I called again, and it was approved instantly on the call for USD 10,000. @Ain - Cloud Resident assisted me throughout the process, which made it easier to keep moving when Chase kept saying to wait for letter. For background, I was also approved for Apple Card last month with a USD 3,000 limit, so this was a really good next step for me. If anyone is in review with Chase and gets told to wait for a letter, it may be worth asking if they can send the document upload request by email instead.

I finally signed up for Equifax for the first time and check my score. Before this, I did not know what my score actually was.

I’ve been trying to get this card for a long time and finally received it today. My ITIN starts with 94X and I got approved for USD 3,000. Just sharing this as a DP in case anyone else with ITIN is still trying. Hope this helps someone.

Hey everyone, This morning i went to a Wells Fargo branch in New York to open a checking account and apply for the no annual fee Autograph card. The banker used my Australian passport and Capital One bank statement as ID verification items. She was actually looking up my residential address on Google Images! ( That was a bit nerve wrecking! 😅) Luckily i managed to open the checking account and got the credit card application approved. ( My credit limit is 3k ) I also deposited $1600 into the checking account. The banker was very helpful and friendly. She helped me set up both cards into my Google Wallet. Just to let everyone know that the card version in Wallet only allows me to spend 1.8k instead of the full amount of 3k ( The credit limit amount is limited until i verify it after receiving the physica card. Oh, Textnow numbers can't receive Wells Fargo OTPs. Only Tello can. I highly recommend this banker below and the branch :) PS : Actually, this is her old branch. The new branch is at 1350 Broadway NYC.
