Obsidian flake
We have had some customers pick pretty cool flakes over the last couple weeks. We just finished using “obsidian”. We really like the way it came out

I really like that flake too, we've done a few of those this year
Stained Concrete Class
In this section, we break down stained concrete floor systems that showcase craftsmanship — acid stains, dyes, and water-based staining techniques. What you'll find here: - 🎨 Stain techniques for indoor and outdoor work - Stained concrete restoration & upgrade methods - 🧼 Sealers — from matte to high gloss, and where to use what - 📐 Design and layout tips that elevate basic concrete - 💵 How to sell these systems as premium, low-maintenance options These floors aren't just about durability — they’re about dialing in beauty and function for high-end homes, commercial spaces, and custom builds. 📣 Drop a comment: Are you quoting stained or sealed work right now? What’s your biggest challenge with it? Let’s get it right the 1st time.

@Breanna Allmon ground to aggressive. Try taking it up to a higher grit. Needs more sealer when it's that porous.

@Breanna Allmon Typically the sealer that you would choose will be based on the type of environment. It is in and what type of prep you're actually doing to the concrete. If you are grinding and leaving these at a 30 grit, I would encourage you to go to at least a 80 grit or a 100 to 150 grit so that the slab is tighter
Poly as a base
What's your take on using poly as a base to broadcast flake into? Considering no moisture issues

We've used both. Poly is more flexible and can give you some quick turnarounds.
Stamped rescue!
I posted yesterday some outdoor work that I have no idea how to tackle. Well, here is another! We did this garage two weeks ago and the client wants his stamped concrete rejuvenated I guess you’d say. It’s been suggested to clean with xylene. Swing buffer. Again, I have zero outside knowledge. Thanks for your support!🙏

Be careful with that guys. Xylene is typically the chemical in breaking down solvent-based acrylics (sealers). Xylene is used as a test to find out the sealer on it. If you're just restoring sealer (no staining), light pressure wash or scrub and apply a new layer of acrylic sealer. Upgrade then to a ceramic afterwards possibly too. Furthermore, if you are stripping sealers with xylene, prepare for a mess. Detailed-Controlled-Organization is a MUST!
