Yum! in my raw food years, I discovered the pear vinaigrette. EVOO ACV pears (Concorde are the best. By far. Seriously have you ever had a pear that tastes like vanilla?!) Dijon mustard Add ins of choice Blend it up.

House made condiments are a game changer. We can eliminate so many unnecessary ingredients. One of my favorites is to use blended boiled beets as the base for bbq. Or my classic Carinara Sauce, using carrots instead of tomatoes. More colors can increase the fun.
Spring seems to finally have come!
Spent time in my garden yesterday planting some of my rapidly growing seedlings. They definately wanted to get out of there cramped pots and in the soil. Now if only I can keep the critters from eating them!

@Ruth Strutz planting planting planting! Beltane is around the corner and everything is bursting! We planted corn, parsnips and beets this week and as always lettuce. What did you plant? What did you plant? Wild Leeks should be available in abundance where you are soon And ostrich fern too! The better than free asparagus!

Spring
What are your favorite things about the return of spring every year? As for me, I love to hear the robins singing on their return to my yard. Not long after they come back, the trees start to bud and the fruit trees give off the most wonderful fragrance with their blossoms.

I am getting loud calls to make Violet Jam. The flowers are small but so beautiful. And male pinecones. Full of rich pollen.
