Build muscle
If I wanna build muscle and go on a surplus to be bigger for basketball, will it affect my jumping and running performance? Will it make my vert decrease?

What’s good Rayyan, yeah — going into a surplus can affect your performance. But the thing is, you don’t actually need a big surplus to build muscle. In fact, you don’t even need to be in a surplus at all if your training and protein intake are dialed in. My recommendation: eat around maintenance, or at most a 300-calorie surplus. That way you can build muscle without slowing yourself down. Hope this helps!

The volume is way too high. If you want to get the most out of your training while still following a 5-day split, just run an upper/lower/rest repeat cycle. Let me know if you have any questions, happy to help.
