🚀NEW
Extra for the customers with no charge
Where do you draw a line for doing extra for customers with no charge and i am keen to see what you all do extra for your customers.
🎉 The August draw is DONE and we’ve got two huge winners!
🏆 30-Day Leaderboard Winner: @Liberti Hurst Since we have already built Liberti's website, she’s taking home the full SEO package! We’re going to get her showing up right at the top of Google when locals search for lawn mowing. 🏆 Premium Plan Winner: @Emma-Jane Lambie Emma-Jane, you just won a custom website build for your lawn business! The build is 100% free, and we host it for you as long as you're on the $9/mo Premium plan. 🔥 Fun fact: We only had FOUR people in the Premium draw this month, meaning Emma-Jane had a whopping 25% chance of winning—all for just $9 a month! 📩 Check your DMs, you two! 🌿 Emma-Jane: I’ll be asking for your business name, service area, list of services, and a few job photos. Once I have those, I’ll build it and send over your link—usually takes me about a day! 🚜 Liberti: Just send me the specific towns and suburbs you actually want work from, and I’ll get straight to work on your SEO. 🔄 Everything resets tomorrow, September 1st! Want to get your name in the hat for next month’s draw? Here’s how: 💬 Get active in the group: Post, comment, and help others out to climb the 30-day leaderboard for the first draw. ⭐ Join the $9/month Premium plan: Enter the second draw with insanely high odds, plus lock in tools and perks for your business. The next two winners get pulled at the end of September. Congrats again, Liberti and Emma-Jane! 🥳🙌

We have not tried it but what we do is we put our business cards around the houses we mow
Need a trailer to start your lawn care business? Think again. 🚐
I ran five vans without one. The setup was dead simple: wool bales for grass behind the driver's seat, then a mower, a weed eater, and a blower in the back. That was literally it. The catch? You have to dump daily. If you're working full days and skip dumping at the end of the day, you'll be completely out of room by Tuesday lunchtime. When you ACTUALLY need a trailer You only need one for three specific situations: 🌳 You do regular tree work 👥 You run two people in one vehicle (a van is way too tight for two; I've tried it) 🚛 You simply can't dump daily Outside of those three, a van gets the job done. What a trailer gives you vs. what it costs The perks: extra space, no bagging, fewer dump trips, and room for a dog. A friendly Labrador sitting in the back of your wagon is a better marketing tool than almost anything else you can pay for. 🐶 The flip side: higher fuel consumption, nightmare maneuvers in tight driveways, extra registration and insurance, and zero security unless it’s fully covered. I’ve used a trailer happily for over 25 years, but I still lean toward vans. Both work—just pick the one that fits how you dump and who’s riding shotgun with you. The Everyday Cab Kit This is the part most people get wrong. Here is what should live in your cab every single day: 🌧️ Wet weather gear ✂️ Trimmer cord and bump caps 🔧 Small toolkit & spare spark plugs 🩹 First aid kit ☀️ Sunblock 🔌 Phone charger 🎈 12V tire pump 🗑️ Small bin 🥪 Lunch A quick word on security & insurance I once lost every gas can I owned to theft. It cost me over $100 and half a day to sort it out. Now, I don't insure anything under $1,000—I just accept the loss and move on. Insuring small gear ultimately costs more than replacing it. Drop a comment below and tell me: VAN 🚐 or TRAILER 🚜? Which way did you go?

I think it depends on the type and structure of the business. We maintain a lot of large sections and lifestyle blocks, so having a trailer is essential for transporting our ride-on mowers. Sometimes we carry two ride-ons, and they fit perfectly. And yes, we definitely have to plan our weekends around the work.
Tools
Some lowlife just stole my weedeater and petrol containers of my trailer the weedeater was strapped to my trailer rack I had just finished useing it.need to be alert to these thugs.
