My biggest takeaway is the importance of authentic voice and creating something unique that represents the type of film I am capable of making. My biggest concern/challenge is finding the right collaborators.

I've never submitted a film through a lottery system, but I have submitted my band's EPK to several music festival lotteries. It cost me more money than I wanted to spend for a blind submission. It was also frustrating because there was no reason given for rejection. Just, thanks for your money! My biggest takeaway from this video is that I need to create a kingdom. My biggest worry is time. Due to career and family obligations, filmmaking has been more of a dream than a hobby - certainly not my primary focus. My goal is to change that.
