The Layan Cardigan is a tailored cabled cardigan using fingering weight yarn, and the pattern has just been released! 😍 The name comes from the Arabic word for soft, gentle, and tender, and that feeling carries through the whole design. It is a classic, wearable piece that works well in any wardrobe. The construction as usual is a seamless top-down one, with the sleeve caps worked simultaneously with the yoke, so you can try it on as you go. 🤩 The cable pattern is simple and repetitive and once the top of the yoke is done, it settles into an intuitive rhythm. The double-knit button bands give a very clean and professional finish. Well I have finished Not blocked yet it raining in Tasmania so have to wait till tomorrow . Hopefully it will be sunny .

The sweater is finished. I used my own spun wool, 2 ply, needles number 3 and size 5 because I know that the sweater will shrink a bit after washing.

I'm very late with it this week, but they are still the most gorgeous collection of sweaters I've seen in this world!! You're all doing me so proud, I can't even begin to coherently convey how it feels when I look at all this beauty!! ❤️ Again, this selection is truly random but no where near a the complete set as a lot more have been shared! 🤩
