@Stacey Elle no, I was reading the wrong charts! I was looking at Inc B charts on p21 instead of Inc A charts on p20!

@Liene Kalniņa no , thank you. I was working from the wrong graphs! I missed out p20. It’s slow going though because I live with my Mum and I am trying to knit it in secret!
If you wanted a little break from colourwork…
The Layan Cardigan is a tailored cabled cardigan using fingering weight yarn, and the pattern has just been released! 😍 The name comes from the Arabic word for soft, gentle, and tender, and that feeling carries through the whole design. It is a classic, wearable piece that works well in any wardrobe. The construction as usual is a seamless top-down one, with the sleeve caps worked simultaneously with the yoke, so you can try it on as you go. 🤩 The cable pattern is simple and repetitive and once the top of the yoke is done, it settles into an intuitive rhythm. The double-knit button bands give a very clean and professional finish. There is also a full construction deep dive on YouTube if you want to go through the build in detail before casting on. 🤓 Use code LAYAN at checkout for 20% off, valid until 29th March, midnight UK time. 🎁 Newsletter subscribers, check Wednesday's newsletter for your exclusive code. 🙂

@Cindy Mooney thank you so much, no rush as I have put it to one side for tonight now. I am knitting size 2, cast on 36sts but I can’t get the set up row to need more than 30sts.

@Cindy Mooney no, I haven’t got past the set up row for the back yet. I will try again later today when I’m not so tired, I was probably just making a really simple mistake.

Lovely!

The sweater is finished. I used my own spun wool, 2 ply, needles number 3 and size 5 because I know that the sweater will shrink a bit after washing.

I'm very late with it this week, but they are still the most gorgeous collection of sweaters I've seen in this world!! You're all doing me so proud, I can't even begin to coherently convey how it feels when I look at all this beauty!! ❤️ Again, this selection is truly random but no where near a the complete set as a lot more have been shared! 🤩

I’m leaving all of my welts until I have done the sleeves as I just can’t decide on if I like the colour I was using. It’s great seeing what everyone else has done though.

I have been knitting for around 60 years, the last 45 most days. I knit for myself, my family, my friends, charity and also do test knits.
