What inspires you?
Big question of the day: What inspires you all to keep up your training? Mine will be in the comments :)

I'd say for me, my inspiration is looking backward to where I started and seeing how far I've come. Both in a martial arts perspective and in a character building perspective. I think seeing the road behind makes the road ahead more exciting!
👋 Hi, I’m James!
👋 Hi, I’m James! I want to get these 3 things from the community: 1. To meet new people who share my interest in nerdy fandoms and martial arts. 2. To learn new things and see how people do things differently. 3. Make and achieve new goals alongside other friends. For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1. Gaming (both tabletop 🎲 and video games 🎮) & Anime📓💥 2. Freewriting and drawing (mostly worldbuilding or character design) 3. Hiking and Camping

@Eric Miller In my free writing I sporadically make additions to a book I will probably never finish or publish. More of a fun exercise that helps me appreciate good writing in other books more lol

I think my favorites would be either Jackie Chan or Donnie Yen. love the different styles their movies take.
October Training Log
What have i been working on the most lately? Integrating the Pai Lum Techniques I'm learning here into my regular training routine. Working on practicing the 5 elements meditation/breathing exercise. Interesting things that I've pulled from my practice/training? I've found a lot of overlap in the early on material with my other martial arts styles I practice. The one that shocked me was the 8 Point Blocking System which appears to be taught the same way here as I've learned elsewhere. What do I plan on practicing next? I plan on working towards the first form as well as the salutation to practice and learn during November.

I think that's a really interesting aspect of cross training different styles. Seeing which techniques are the same and how they are applied in similar or different ways. Keep up the good work!
