(Family) Homework for Life 📚
🥳 Motto: Collect great memories every day! A few months ago I asked my wife and kids to start a daily evening routine... It is a modified version of Matthew Dicks's 💡 idea 💡 of "Homework for life" - which in short is to spend a moment at the end of every day to write down the highlight(s) of that day: https://youtu.be/x7p329Z8MD0?si=wsYooHLTJjw9M88v Every day we talk about the highlights and write them down. In the beginning kids were reluctant, especially our 14y old teenager ;) ("I don't want to do it", "Boring!", "Do I have to?" ;) But now, after a few months, the kids remind me to not forget to do it every day, sometimes they want to write the entries themselves or add some small doodles :D Its a great time and fun to later go through the pages and recall a particular day (often the lack of highlights for some days can be also used to build perspective and appreciate the better days!) PS. We speak Polish, English and Dutch all in parallel in our house - so the entries are also a chaotic mix of languages :D
