@Krisztián Nagy That cube didn't even see it coming.🤣
History & Myth - Fact or Fiction? 🤔
We've all been taught some kind of history. Usually that is presented and taken as "fact". But instead of a complete picture... What we have are scattered pieces of a puzzle. Fragments. We may not even be able to tell what the picture actually looks like. What we have are interpretations. Attempts to explain things... But from our particular perspective... Based on our ideas and understanding. Have you ever heard the saying, "to a hammer everything looks like a nail"? Is history fact, fiction, or something in between? Some things are discounted as "myth"... But is there any reason to do so? What if the myths are the facts and the facts are the myths? Where does that leave us? 🤷‍♂️

@Krisztián Nagy That's kind of what it all comes down to in a lot of cases... how could we really? But it's told/sold to us as this or that thing is absolute "fact" and this or that other thing is absolute nonsensical "myth". Except some facts are little more than myth and some myths contain a lot of fact. Then the real question is, what is the "truth"? and that can be a completely different thing entirely.

@Merrie B Yeah I've tried that before and things around you do kind of melt away. Which I haven't really thought about in a while so thanks for that. A lot of people have a hard time getting out of that fight or flight response so whatever works for you is great. In the Marine Corps the whole time is pretty much go, go, go, fight or flight. Tai Chi is something that I found to help me calm down from that. I just saw earlier tonight about some type of vagus nerve stimulation device, have you seen/tried anything like that?

@Merrie B There are certain points that you can rub or put pressure on that can help, a good old fashioned sigh can also go a long way, but this type of device is new I think. I can't remember the name of it but it looks kind of like headphones that go around the back and side of your neck instead of your head. I have no idea if or how well it works but it's an interesting idea anyway.

@Allan Webster LOL. I thought of going for the fool but this meme has been my favorite since I saw it a couple of years back. Haven't seen a better one. Classic.

Peng - Partner Drill 🙏
Whether you're interested in the martial side of Tai Chi Chuan... Or just interested in health, balance, etc... Getting an idea about the forces and energies happening within the movements can help to inform and add substance to your individual practice. It can also give you a philosophical approach to interactions that occur in daily life. If you have a partner, this can be a fun way to connect... If you don't, you can still get the idea of what's happening here. ENJOY. 🙏
