Why posting to an empty Skool community is still the right move
When I launched my community in June 2025, I was posting to almost no one. Turning up to calls where I was the only person in the room. Recording replays that maybe two people would ever watch. What kept me going was a simple mindset shift. I stopped thinking about who was there and started writing and speaking as if 200 people were listening. Not pretending. Just deciding that the standard wasn't going to drop because the numbers were low. I still get on calls where nobody shows. I still post the replay. I still write the post. That's not me being delusional about where the community is. That's my understanding that the people who do eventually find it will scroll back, watch the replays, read the posts, and decide whether this is worth their time based on what they see. A thin archive of abandoned content tells them one thing. A consistent body of work tells them something completely different. If your community is quiet right now, that's not a signal to ease off. It's a signal to keep the standard high anyway. The members who matter will arrive at something that looks like it was built for them. If you're running a Skool community and trying to turn it into consistent monthly revenue, this is what we work on inside the Skool Monetisation Lab. https://www.skool.com/skool-growth-lab-2540/about Des Dreckett - Skool Monetisation Lab

Plus reps are reps. Your 1st post, call, etc. won't be as good as your 10th which won't be as good as 💯. Everything is practice for something. As one of my teachers always says, "we get best at what we practice most."
Referred From Skool Network
Since the Frenzy, I have learned that when you provide the direct link to your community in the CLASSIFIEDS, it will show up on your analytics as “Referred from Skool network” not as from a direct link. This is neither good nor bad, I just want you to be aware that new members coming from here might show up in that bucket. I’m not sure what happens if you use your own referral invite. Has anyone experienced this yet?

@Glenn Summers Based on what I said, what else would I be talking about?

@Glenn Summers That's interesting because mine don't. I'm not sure if they do or not on member requests.
Am I crazy?
I might be crazy for doing this… I will absolutely lose money on it 🤣 But I’m determined to help more women burn fat, build muscle, and raise the bar. (literally) 🏋️ One of the reasons I built PhatKat Fitness is to remove friction... the little things that keep capable women stuck in the “I’ll start soon” or worse "I'll start again soon" loop. And one of the biggest ones I see with strength training? Hip thrusts hurting so bad people skip them altogether. If you’ve ever: • avoided hip thrusts because the bar hurts • stacked yoga mats like a raccoon building a nest • or said “I’ll start lifting when I get the right gear…” ✨ This is part of how I help my members overcome these obstacles: Inside PhatKat Fitness, I’m offering members access to my hip thrust pad for $10 flat-rate shipping only. Normally $49.95 on Amazon. No catch. No weird upsell. It’s simply a member perk I’m using to lower the friction so women actually optimize the workouts they commit to. If strength training has been “on your list” but resistance keeps winning… this is just one of the ways our space helps members close that gap. How it works 👇 1️⃣ Join PhatKat Fitness (ladies only) 2️⃣ Grab the one-time classroom access 3️⃣ Fill out the 1-minute Google form ✨You'll also have access to our free 1 week sugar challenge and a free, quick 1;1 "Kat Call" with me, coach Kat! Questions? Happy to answer 💚

@Kat Oakley I've recently been seeing things about isometrics using a chain and it's pretty interesting stuff. I like to get the most bang for my buck and not to need a bunch of equipment. So I'll be getting a chain and seeing where that fits in with everything else I do, lol.

@Kat Oakley I like the idea of just going full blast with all your might for short bursts. That type of thing can go a long way for stress and emotional release/relief. I also like that it's just for a couple of reps/sets that are only a few seconds long. So it's easy to fit in with the array of things I already do rather than having to try to rearrange things or squeeze it in. I'll let you know how it goes.🙏
0 Members Away From Our 2025 Goal! WE DID IT!!!
With a few hours left in 2025, we are unbelievably close to our goal for the year. It is always amazing to me how even a quietly shared goal can become a reality. I'm not really a woo woo person, but what is it about randomly choosing Dec 31 as the date to reach 1000 that made it suddenly possible? If I had chosen Dec 1, would it have happened then, or would it just have been an unmet goal? I wonder... As we move into 2026 and start thinking about goals for January, Q1, and the next calendar year, I'd love to hear how you are approaching your goals for your business and how you choose to set "realistic" goals. I once had a coach tell me that she only makes "input" goals and not "output" goals as inputs are the only things she controls. I usually make both types of goals, but I loved the idea for focusing on what is in my control. If it feels aligned and you are moved to do so, I'd love to have your help in ringing in 2026 with our fellow 999 members. And if you haven't seen the pinned post about the challenge for the next few weeks which includes any referrals made today, check out the top of the page! Wishing you all the best in the new year, and I can't wait to play an active and supportive role in helping you all reach your Skool goals in 2026. 😊

Like the Stoics, focus on what you can control and pay no mind to what you can't.

Are You Up For Helping the CLASSIFIEDS Go Out With a Bang?
About 4 weeks ago, @Nick Nebelsky quietly mentioned that we were racing towards 1000 members, and I threw out the end of the year as a random goal to hit it... Since then, many of you have been doing amazing work referring as many people as possible. A special mention goes out to @Karen Castillo @Éva Raposa @Sondra Verva @Grant Hepworth and @Mona Weathers for the most referrals in the last month. As of December 28, we are 61 members away from reaching our goal. I'm not really one for random goals generally, but this one seems a little special for some reason. To ring out 2025 and ring in 2026 with 1000 members who are high-quality Skoolers committed to supporting each other, collaborating, and growing our businesses together seems exciting. Had I accepted everyone who requested to be a part of this group, we would easily be over 2,000 members by now, but instead, I've chosen to keep the group carefully curated, and I think the payoff has been well worth it. You can tell this group is special by the quality of the posts, the engaging comments, and the energy in our in-person meet ups! 😊 If you're up for it, I'd love your help in welcoming in 61 more amazing members to help us all grow together! Here's to an amazing 2026! 🎉

@Shannon Boyer I've already recommended a few people to join in the past so it's nothing new. This is a great idea after all.😎
