The Secret To Your Success Is Hidden in Your Daily Routine
This is the quote that keeps me on the straight and narrow. Check yourself. See if your daily routines are taking you closer to the success you say you desire or are they taking you away from your desires. If you have consistent habits that need to be eliminated, eliminate them and establish the ones that will lead you to your goals. I've heard this quote two ways. John Maxwell said "The secret of your success is hidden in your daily routine." Mike Murdock said it a little differently. "The secret to your future is hidden in your daily routine." Either way, it's those things that we do daily that will either take us where we want to go or take us where we don't want to go.

@Kendra Alien And where, pray tell, are you from? 😊
Reasons to Keep Going
7/18/25: OR Levy, an Israeli hostage held in Hamas captivity 491, told a CNN reporter, Jeremy Diamond, how another hostage had helped him find his “why” to “keep going.” That hostage, who was taken with him, OR Levy, at the same time at the invasion, gave him a reason to live. He told him “As long as you have your why’, you have a ‘how.’” OR Levy later would tattoo that sentence on his left arm. The other hostage was later executed by Hamas. OR’s ‘why’? He had his wife and young toddler son to live for, and to return home to…. OR’s would learn once released that his wife was killed the day of the raids, when her shelter bunker was fired on by Hamas militants. His toddler son survived. OR was reunited with his son, when he was released by Hamas. ( I don’t know if his son was ever held by Hamas. I don’t think he was, because OR says his son keeps asking him, “Why couldn’t you take me with you to the ‘distant place’ with you?” and “Where is my Mom?”) ——- We all can find our “Why.” ————- ——- What is your “WHY????” ———- ———- I have two major Why’s: I train on eldercare management. My two why’s: 1. For my mom’s legacy - I couldn’t protect and save her - though I sure tried - from being killed by her husband . She lived another 17 days after being poisoned. My other major “why”: 1. To protect adult children who survived parental child abuse, from being required by US state courts to do eldercare for his/her abuser. Over 14 US states still have “eldercare abandonment laws.”

Being thrifty is an admirable quality, it sounds as though you've made some pretty wise choices. My tendence is to value my time more than money because we can always get more money, but once time is spent, we don't get it back. I'm as comfortable in a thrift store dress as I am in a new one, in a used car as well as a new one. I live on both sides of the spectrum because my sense of value doesn't come from having or not having things. It comes from the knowledge that I was created for a purpose. Part of that purpose is to show love to others by doing good in the world. In terms of giving, all the rich and successful people that I've come to know are huge givers. They follow the bible's teaching on giving at least a tenth (a tithe) of their resources. Even if they are not following other parts of the bible, they know that the principle of giving leads to receiving. I've heard Tony tell that story. It's powerful and motivating. However, what many people miss is that they don't have to be rich to be a giver. I believe it was Theodore Roosevelt who said "Do what you can with what you have, where you are."

@Mary Ellen Wasielewski Amazing work Alexandra. To quote John Maxwell, "Everything rises and falls on leadership." To quote myself, Self-leadership is the first leadership. We must develop the ability to lead ourselves into our greatness. We were born to shine.

@Calvin Works That was my initial quote but changed to ECFC. Are you looking for an accountability partner? Let me know your goals for this program, I'll tell you mine. See if we can be a support for each other. I've been listening and relistening to Russell's trainings. I also purchased the other two Secrets books e.g. Expert Secrets and Traffic Secrets. Waiting for them to arrive.
