One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that people believe real estate is all about finding the perfect deal.
After years in the property business, I've learned that success rarely comes from waiting for the perfect opportunity. It comes from understanding the numbers, building strong relationships, staying consistent, and knowing how to solve problems when they arise. I've seen great opportunities pass people by because they were waiting for everything to line up perfectly. On the other hand, I've watched experienced investors turn average deals into profitable ones simply because they had the right strategy and network. Whether you're wholesaling, buying rentals, flipping properties, or just getting started, your ability to learn, adapt, and connect with the right people will often matter more than finding a once in a lifetime deal. That's one of the reasons I enjoy being part of communities like this. Everyone has a different journey, and there's always something valuable to learn from someone else's experience. I'd love to hear from you: What's one lesson you've learned in real estate that you wish someone had taught you when you were starting out?

@James Mandy Wow, that's great! This is where many successful real estate investors get their start. I'm also involved in real estate and multiple streams of income. I enjoy connecting with like-minded people, sharing insights, and learning from each other's experiences.

The question isn't whether your income is good. The question is: how many ways does money reach you?
Too many people spend years becoming experts at earning an income. But very little time building something that can keep paying them if life changes. A question I've been asking myself lately is this: If my primary source of income slowed down tomorrow, how long would I be comfortable? It's not a pleasant question, but it's one worth answering honestly. Many business owners, professionals, and self-employed people are incredibly talented. They've built successful careers, loyal clients, and great reputations. But there's one challenge that often goes unnoticed: Their income depends on one engine. When that engine is running, everything feels secure. When it slows, uncertainty creeps in. That's why I no longer believe building another income stream is about "making more money." I believe it's about building resilience. It's about creating choices. It's about reducing financial stress before it arrives. It's about owning assets that continue working even when you're focused somewhere else. The wealthiest people rarely rely on one source of income. They build systems that complement each other. One business funds another. One asset creates opportunities to buy the next. One income stream gives them the freedom to be patient with another. That shift in thinking changed how I looked at business. Instead of asking: "How can I work harder?" I started asking: "How can I build something that works alongside what I already do?" You don't have to abandon your current business. You don't have to start over. You don't even have to replace what already works. You simply begin building a second engine. Then a third. Over time, you're no longer relying on hope that one business continues performing forever. You're creating options. And options create confidence. The hardest part isn't usually the opportunity. It's deciding that your future deserves more than a single source of income. Years from now, many people will wish they had started building an additional income stream today.

@Molly Mor Hi Molly. I really like your approach to building multiple income streams instead of relying on just one. Diversifying can create a stronger foundation over time. I'm involved in property investing, and I'm always interested in learning how others are growing their businesses as well. Looking forward to hearing more about your journey and exchanging ideas.
VA for Cold Calling
My VA is about to have some free time. I've been consolidating deals down to fewer active markets, so the volume just isn't there for full-time help anymore. Two years in. Cold calling, lead follow-up, appointment setting, and managing our CRM. If you need a good sales VA, happy to make an intro!!

A VA with experience in cold calling, lead follow-up, appointment setting, and CRM management can be a huge asset. I'm sure someone here will benefit from the introduction. @Renee Monegain Hi Renee. It's great to meet you. Your journey is truly inspiring, especially how you got started with no money, completed multiple virtual deals, and stayed committed to helping sellers even when there wasn't a financial reward. Your focus on growth and self-development really stood out to me. I'm looking forward to connecting, learning from your experience, and hopefully collaborating with you in this community. Wishing you continued success.
