New challenge [Are you in??]
Hiii loves, I'm sure you've seen the viral lymphatic drainage moves everywhere on socials: the hops, arm swings, body waves. They're trending for a reason, cause they actually work. I've been doing these movements in the morning for months now without even calling them "lymphatic drainage moves" and I've seen such a great shift in how my body feels and looks. Your lymphatic system is basically your body's cleanup layer. When it's moving (literally, lymph relies on movement), everything else works better: - Hormones = better circulation means better hormone distribution and metabolism - Digestion = reduced bloating and inflammation - Skin = improved circulation and toxin clearance - Energy = less inflammation = less your body fighting itself - Cycle symptoms = reduced congestion, better blood flow, less cramping So this shouldn't just be just a trend, should be a practice!! So we're making it stick together! Doctors and period pain
Hi everyone! Something that I'm very curious to hear about is whether any of you have found valuable help from doctors. I have very debilitating period pain, and I'm still seeking a way to deal with it. But anytime I tried to talk to a doctor about it (either my general doctor or my gynecologist), their answer was just prescribing painkillers or birth control. Which are not good for me because I'm allergic to painkillers and I don't want to go on birth control. So, I'm curious to know what your experience with doctors was, and if it was a positive one, what kind of doctor was it? And in which country? (I'm Italian, by the way)

My friend who later found out she had endometriosis (which was causing such terrible pains), had the same experiences with doctors, just stronger pain killers and trying new birth controls.
Menstruation and sadness
I once heard this phrase: the first days of your period and what you do is how you deal with the sadness. There is an opinion that the first days of menstruation are a time when the body “cries” because pregnancy has not occurred. And although we may not consciously plan a child, our body does a huge job every month, preparing a “house”. I usually want to be on bed, drink hot tea, eat chocolate and watch movies. And it's the same for just sadness and menstruation. And how do you live these days? Have you noticed that your habits during menstruation and during ordinary sadness coincide?

This is actually a really interesting way of thinking, thank you for the new perspective. Come to think of it, there is some similarity between my "sadness habits" and "bleeding habits" : chocolate, isolation from anything social (except maybe cuddling), requiring quiet, tired, and emotional (e.g. would cry over something vaguely touching in a movie that I might not usually cry over😅)

I also want to add that yes the days up to my mood is very low, but the day just before my period i am often much more easy and light, a bit like how i am pre ovulation. Anyone else experience this?

Makes me hopeful that this utter drained and annoyed and depressed feeling doesnt have to be at the second half of each cycle🫶

I feel during these cold months we need to acknowledge our wins more than anything!!! Motivation drops when daylight drops. And this (lack of) sunlight affects our drive, mood, focus... But we can reverse engineer this. We name a win > We create feedback > We build momentum first So I have AN IDEA! 💡 Let’s dig a bit and name some wins ON PURPOSE (even if they might sound small, or not wins at all) What’s one small win from the last few days... Something your body noticed Something you didn’t push Something you said no to Something you finally did Something you let go of Or mayyyyybe some symptoms that got reduced?

@Teodora Sabau thanks for thinking of me! Christmas has been full of family and eating and having my kid at home so I have not prioritized the phone😅 but looking forward to being a part of this community!

@Teodora Sabau yes, i have a tendence to doom scroll, and I try to be as little on the phone as possible in front of my kid, and we are a lot together, so best to just put it completely away😅
