Where exactly to apply US for cognitive issues?
Ive seen some sources say to apply on temple, and others say to apply directly above ear? Which is best for cognitive impairment/brain inflammation due to covid?
US2000 vs US1000
Is the low setting on the US2000 equivalent to medium setting on the US1000? 🤔

Overview of Methods of Ultrasound Stimulation of Vital Vagus Centers
Hell all ! Whew! the group is expanding faster than I envisioned ! I want to provide a "Full Scope" view of what you *can* do with the Vagus Nerve Stimulation Tech we have available (Once you get to LVL 2) but - which, if you read this post, will be able to see right here on the wall. 1) Vagus Nerve Cervical Stimulation with Ultrasound: You will be placing the Ultrasound on the left side of the neck - 2-5 Mins is good - Start Low and Work Way Up - Shouldn't Feel Anything from Ultrasound Itself - but effects can be very calming if used before bed, assisting in Sleep, and improving HRV. 2) Spleen Stimulation with Ultrasound: A relatively difficult spot to stimulate, get help if possible. But can definitely be done yourself too. Going to want 5 mins on Medium to High intensity, due to likelihood of imperfect placement, and it's going to be "peering" through rib cage window slits. Excellent for helping your body control inflammation globally. 3) Cerebral Ultrasound - Insular Cortex Stimulation: This targets a region of the brain that deals with your bodies memory of previous inflammatory responses. Thus, stimulation of this region increases brain neuroplasticity, and enables you to "move on" from previous cyclical inflammatory responses. (People associate emotional "pain" with an inflammation response - thus a painful memory (trigger) (trauma even) can produce an identical inflammatory spike throughout the body) - The Insular Cortex is where this happens. Highly supportive of Spleen Stimulation protocol. 4) Other uses have been explored for Lymphatic Drainage, but this is on a case by case basis, and typically utilized best when/if the body has some major lymphatic drainage issue (water retention / lymph swelling in specific parts of the body [such as left side of body near armpits] that may benefit from increased lymphatic drainage activity) - Ultrasound amplifies Lymphatic systems (also glymphatic brain cleaning is activated as well) - and is generally utilized for 5 minutes on Medium to High settings, as is comfortable on the body - and likely for 1-2 weeks until swelling has subsided.

Is there a reason for only doing the right temple? I feel tempted to do the left too.

@Diana Mobus I do the right temple, but I have experimented a bit with the left temple and forehead as well.
Parasympathetic pulling me down
Hi everyone, I’m on day 8 and have been focusing on L vagus between 2-5 min on low / medium / combo using US 2000 just before bed. Introduced spleen on day 5 for 2-4 min on Low. The change is very telling according to my wearables (Apple Watch, Welltory, Oura ring): my HRV has increased and shown slight persistence the next day and parasympathetic activity right afterwards is higher. My sleep scores are slightly improved and I’m sleeping longer with fewer interruptions. All awesome signs! The challenge is energy — right afterwards stim I feel a burst but the next day is more of a struggle: it’s harder to rouse from sleep and get out of bed, my body and eyes feel heavier throughout the day, and I’m desiring a nap more than before. I have more intense brain fog which is making it harder to focus on work (which is strategic and technical). I have MEFCS from long COVID and a pituitary microadenoma from syncope TBIs. I’ve been doing TENS stimulation every night for almost 2 years, so my vagus nerve is no stranger to stim. The changes I’m seeing in metrics aren’t super extreme so I don’t know that I’m overdoing it. In fact, fatigue, PEM, and brain fog are persistent issues that I hoped US would resolve. I’m not giving up yet, but wondering if I should introduce temple or big 6 ultrasound to address the fogginess? Or should I just slow down?

@Kira Morin did you have your stellate ganglion blocks on your left or right side? Im dealing with LC and ME symptoms too. Still severe.
Hope
Been sick with long covid for two years. Have tried so many treatments with little to no improvement. Hearing the recovery stories online has given me hope again-can’t wait to see what ultrasound has in store for all of us!

Wishing you the best, I'm doing ultrasound for LC too.

@Heather Belcher got covid 03/2020. It was horrendous and basically disabled me over a couple days. No prior health issues, very active and healthy lifestyle prior. I deal with dysautonomia, pots, mcas, neuropathy issues, cognitive impairment, insomnia, digestive issues. Mostly bedbound. I have much every symptom and LC phenotype out there. You can message me if you want more details.
