Machine use Log
I'll log my experiences here if that is ok. Got my device. Just learning to use it but seems fairly simple. I did 5 minutes on low around my knee and bit on stomach 36 point. Zero heating of tissue, no noticeable negative effects. Will take a walk in a few hours and see how the hills feel. I wasn't having any specific knee issues but sometimes that one can complain, so seems a reasonable test spot. Will try on the left ribs / splenic flexure area in a bit. Nice that the device has a warmup feature. Nearly silent when on low but I could hear the buzz.

@Jeffrey Fantastic I remember seeing an article about the gum and mouth, micro, biome being really important for overall inflammatory regulation? Interesting you say that you’re getting an intuition about that because I’ve mostly seen that people get an intuition about their internal state more clearly after using Ultrasound Vegas nerve stimulation so maybe there’s something to it?

@Jeffrey Fantastic yeah you’re right if you lay on your left side and then you place your hand on the left rib cage underneath you can kind of reach the spleen if you aim it towards the outer rib cage on the left side – as you’ve quickly realize the spleen isn’t the easiest location to hit by yourself, but I think if you have a US 2000 pro and you turn the intensity on high you’re able to feel it entering inside better that way and I personally think it’s completely fine and safe to do high on the US 2000 pro. Technically diagnostic imaging Ultrasound can go 2.5 times higher intensity than what the US pro 2000 does on high so we’re still well below anything that’s considered even high in the overall ultrasound diagnostic world.
Major Breakthrough: An Easier Way To Target Inflammation Effectively Through Abdomen
This research is actually more important that I initially realized* We may be able to target abdominal regions (no more spleen location - which is difficult) if this research holds up and expands further, I don't see why it wouldn't scale up, this could be massive for US-1000 and US-2000 Pro owners, you guys are so darn lucky ! Recent research confirms that transcutaneous focused ultrasound applied to the epigastrium suppresses systemic inflammation by modulating subdiaphragmatic vagus nerve fibers. This non-invasive approach utilizes acoustic pressure to stimulate mechanosensitive vagal afferents. In controlled rodent models, a 10-minute application at 1 MHz resulted in a 180% increase in vagal firing. The physiological result is a significant downregulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Data shows a 48% reduction in TNF-α and a 42% drop in IL-1ÎČ within two hours of stimulation. The mechanism targets the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway. By increasing efferent tone, ultrasound signals the spleen to inhibit cytokine release via α7nAChR receptors on macrophages. Human feasibility trials demonstrate a 30% cytokine reduction. This bioelectronic intervention offers a precise, drug-free alternative for managing rheumatoid arthritis, IBD, and sepsis. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41671184

@Annie Catterall I mean “inflammation” - possibly hunger level - sleeping and dreams always reveal if the nerve was hit (oddly enough) idk, just stay tuned and see what you notice đŸ€©đŸ˜đŸ™ŒđŸ˜‡đŸ™

@Kim Kapoor yeah 5 minutes on colon medium then try high if you can move it continuously (you know how that works im sure haha) It would in theory stimulate vagus nerve to control inflammation system wide, that’s what the research is pointing to - spleen is better but harder to hit on your own. Colon is pretty easy for most everyone (I think hah)

@Kelly C oh sweet !! Yeah Melissa is awesome we are all fans here - yes I have been surprised often about what the Vagus Nerve is involved in - it very well could end up surprising you in how much it could help ! No promises though - everybody and every condition is different - but I think it worth trying đŸ‘đŸ„ł

@Christa Wilson if you feel like you understand the Ultrasound enough - you can try right side - no harm in a little variety - and that’s great to hear about sleep 😮 đŸ„ł hope you have been having some interesting dreams too !!! 😇
🚹 The #1 Question I Get: "What's the Best Ultrasound Device to Buy?" (My Official Answer + Regional Guide)
Welcome to the group! I know the first few modules are in the Classroom: Skool.com/vagus/classroom available to read right now - but I always see the same question pop up immediately: "What device should I buy?" Instead of *I guess* hoping you will make use of the Classroom which already has the answer, or hoping you would use the Search feature at the top of the site, I wanted to put the answer front and center. This post will be pinned at the top, so you can reference it anytime. The goal is to get you started with the right tool for your region. Let's break it down: USA: If you are in the USA: The US-1000 is your go-to. It’s affordable, incredibly effective, and the perfect entry point for Vagus Nerve Stimulation. For around $54 USD, it’s one of the most accessible biohacks you can invest in. The benefits—from reduced inflammation and deeper sleep to a calmer nervous system—are tremendous for the price. - 👉 Click for Module 2: How to Buy an Ultrasound - 👉 Click for Module 3: How to Use & Place Ultrasound 🌍 If you are in Canada: Great news, the US-1000 is also easily available. - Canada Supplier: Link EU: If you are in the EU or UK: The Rules are a Little Different Due to regulations and availability, the US-1000 isn't sold here. You’ll be looking at the US-2000 Pro class of device. Don't let the "Pro" name intimidate you! It simply means these units produce a higher power output and offer more focused stimulation. You don't really have a choice in the matter, but honestly, you're getting a slightly more powerful unit out of the gate.

Much Needed VagusSkool.com Web Update - Now with 3D Anatomy Viewer for Finding your Vagus Nerve
Hey Vagus Skoolers ! I have exciting news! Go to vagusskool.com/anatomy And you will now be able to see a medically relevant shot of where the Vagus Nerve is in your Neck - in 3D ! Best to view it on a Desktop or Laptop computer - might not work great on your phone FYI. As months go, I am going to *try* to add more 3d Anatomy locations - but for now, enjoy this one, which is arguably - the one most of you should be doing anyways. Also, to answer the obvious question, I know at least one of you will be asking "That's the left side, but is it in a different location on the right side of the neck ?" No, it's not different on the right side. In fact, it would be in the identical, almost mirror image reflection also on the right side of your neck. Go visit it, see if it loads on your computer, let me know what you think, and what other anatomical things you would like to see next ! Sincerely, -Sterling
