No os acromiale below age 25? WRONG!
Hi, just a little pearl from a recent live Q&A session inside the VIRTUAL MSK FELLOWSHIP. The traditional teaching is that we cannot call Os acromiale under the age of 25 because the fusion might happen up to that age of the secondary ossification center. However, this article states otherwise. We can still call os acromiale if it fits as described there. this is a great article how sharing information inside the fellowship accelerates learning for all fellows exponentially. Differentiating os acromiale from normally developing acromial ossification centers using magnetic resonance imaging https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00256-015-2098-4 If you want to stay ahead of the (sometimes outdated) game, consider to join the fellowship, just book a free orientation call here. https://my.onlinemskfellowship.com/strategysession -Chris

I wanted to ask you about oedema in the os acromiale and neighbouring structures, but I found out about this in the article. :) "Roedl et al. in a retrospective study of adolescents and young adults with acromial oedema, demonstrated an association between repetitive stresses, which they termed 'acromial apophysiolysis', and the development of os acromiale, particularly in young baseball pitchers." Thank you so much for sharing.
Top 10 MSK Review Articles with video commentary
Hi all i made a little homepage where you can opt in with your email address to download my top 10 MSK review articles, with video commentary. However, I have a favor to ask: I do it this way because I changed my email provider and many emails land in spam, so I need your help: please do these steps: 1. go to www.agten.org/review 2. Request the top 10 review article PDF by entering your email 3. you will get 1 email that looks like in the image below. it might end up in spam 4. if its in your spam folder: Please mark it as NOT SPAM 5. in either case, please reply to the email with "thanks chris" or something similar 6. in either case please add [email protected] also to your contact list, as this helps me to make my email address as safe for future email broadcasts in my newsletter. 7. The more people do this, then the email providers like outlook and gmail, hotmail etc, will recognize me as a safe email sender and not mark all my emails as spam. Please reply to this post to complete this action :) thank you for your cooperation and help! it means a lot to me. Chris

Please introduce yourself here and tell us a little about yourself, such as: - Which country are you from? - How did you find this community? - Why do you love MSK? - What do you do for fun (other than MSK 😀) If you don’t want to talk about yourself, feel free just to say hi. It’s all good.
