What do you hate about other courses/programmes/etc?
What’s the worst thing you’ve seen in a course or program? Free or paid. The stuff that made you think: “Never again… I’m not going to bother finishing this.” Help me eliminate any barriers to enjoying the upcoming new programme by letting me know below. BONUS: If there’s anything you absolutely love, let me know too. But knowing the hates is far more important. See you in the comments.

In my opinion you are only allowed to call something a course if you provide people with an opportunity to test their knowledge and skill. This will allow people to check whether they learned anything, but also tricks the brain into paying attention. So: - Multiple choice tests to check whether you actually remembered anything of what was just said (easy to automate feedback) - Other assignments to make people apply the knowledge and/or develop the skill you teach. Doesn't need to be an entire book, the tasks at the end of the M82 chapters are good examples. Bonus: Maybe you could invite the community to do peer-feedback on these?
I've answered your question
Answering your questions, campaigns, and what not from the post I did 28 days ago. Sorry it's taken a while - I had family over. Anyway, heres a long old answer to all of your challenges, and some un-welcomed critiques of your plans. This will likely end up as a podcast. But cos you guys are here, you get to see it first. Enjoy.

Did you intentionally show off your luxurious lifestyle? Honoustly, the way you seamlessly pause and start again I might not have noticed you walked away two times
LinkedIn
I decided to start posting regularly on LinkedIn, even though I'm not sure it's where my ideal clients are. Why? 1) because it helps me in my own process 2) because there are a lot of marketing professionals on LinkedIn. If they know my stuff, it might be easier to work with one of em if I decide to. Sure, I secretly hope it will lead to sales too. What about the magazine you were working on? The LinkedIn stuff will be repurposed for the magazine (reasons 1 and 2).
What direct mail are you sending?
Hey Gang, It's been quiet in here as pointed out by @Chris Spruce So I'm curious... 1) What direct mail are you sending at the moment? (Include pictures like @Darren Mudd did with his handwritten letter) 2) If none, what ideas are you pondering? (Again, bonus points for pictures) 3) Finally... What's the biggest problem you are facing when it comes to direct mail specifically? Wether you are actively sending shit, or are completely stumped. Let me know what parts you find tricky. I'll go first. We are gearing up to send a few thousand postcards (Here's my recent LinkedIn post with some naval-gazing insights) The plan is to send them out, and drive them to a VSL where they can request more information. Sent in the mail, of course. The pack may include (but not finalised) the unicorn client report, our death of social media white paper, and a sales letter. Our biggest challenge has been finding a mail house that can handle the volume, as we want handwritten, custom printed envelopes for the postcard, physical stamps, and each postcard to personalised. This will remain a challenge until we have our own setup complete. So, let me know below what you're up to, your schemes, or your challenges.

Currently working on a email series for the website security quickscan. A magazine for potential clients we can help implement education software. We will not send this, but let a company call decision makers and ask for an appointment to bring it over personally. A third service we are working on is helping freelancers start and manage their business. We have one client (from my network) and are looking to expand. Direct mail might be a good strategy here, but as pointed out before: how do we get the adresses in? As these people are consumers, unsolicited, targeted mail is even more complicated

@Connor Benham that's part of the plan, however: 1) one person businesses are still considered consumers in some cases 2) the best moment to get involved is just before they register their business. About the magazine, when it's printed I'll share a picture and more details about how we plan to use it
Lists
I am struggling with building my "list" of names and addresses. Anybody found any software or companies that can complie this information?

I keep coming back to inbound marketing to get people to sign themselves up for a list. Especially for consumer markets. Thing is, I don't like the waiting for it to work bit of inbound marketing...

I like to solve problems. Currently trying to make an impact by helping organisations implement new software by focussing on the humans using it.
