Went From Losing Money To $3k/Day Using This Simple Traffic Light Method...
Most people way overcomplicate their ad management. Right now, we're at $1.5M/mo in ad spend and have several dozen accounts managed. So I had to develop a simple strategy to scale, prune and kill that also WORKS. Now, tell me if this sounds familiar... You're running Meta ads, trying to figure out which ones to kill and which ones to scale. And it feels like you're shooting in the dark, right? We use something super simple. I call it the Traffic Light Method. Here's how it works: Think of your ad sets like traffic lights: RED = Stop / YELLOW = Leave alone / GREEN = Scale. Let me break this down: = RED AD SETS - These are the ones burning money. They're spending way more than your target CPA with no results. What to do? Kill them - but only after they've spent enough to be sure. Quick example: If your target CPA is $197, let them spend about $300 before making the call. = YELLOW AD SETS - These are your "almost there" ads. They're close to your target CPA but not quite there yet. They might be a little bit over or under your ideal KPI. Here's the weird part - do NOTHING with these. Don't touch them. Don't try to "fix" them. Just let them run and do their thing. = GREEN AD SETS - These are your winners. They're hitting your target CPA consistently. What to do? Scale them slowly. I like to make a 20% budget increase every 48 hours. Sounds slow? Maybe. But it works. And it keeps campaigns stable. = Here's how we use this every day: - Check your numbers. Know your target CPA and how much you need to spend to be sure/ - Morning check-in. Look at all ad sets, mark them red/yellow/green, take action accordingly. (Depending on your budget, you might want to optimize 2x or 3x/day). - Watch your optimization windows. Here's what I like to do: - Ecom or cheap front-end products: rolling 7-days. - Mid-ticket stuff (challenges, webinars, etc): rolling 14-days - High-ticket (like VSLs, call funnels, etc): rolling 30-days
