What DAW are you folks using for film scoring?
I've personally tried to learn Ableton over the past year and I find it as unintuitive as any piece of software I've ever used. I play live as well as craft midi. What DAWs have you had success with?

I have been using Cubase ever since 1991 or 92. Back when it was on the Atari and MIDI only.😎 Too be honest, never really tried another DAW. I did use a program called TripleDAT in the mid to late 90's by a German company called Creamware. But that got discontinued and Cubase had audio by than, so easy choice for me. https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/creamware-tripledat-0

Audio Imperia and Orchestral Tool started their Black Friday sale! Native Instruments as well (but only upgrade bundles for now). Anyone buying anything?

Not really Black Friday anymore, but the Native Instruments 50% discounts on their upgrades is up till 31st of December, so I just got my Komplete Ultimate 14 upgraded to 15 Collectors Edition.😎 (Had to wait a little, as I had maxed out my credit card on the Black Friday stuff I had bough….🤪)

Hello everyone, Although I’ve been a metal head for a good 40 years I always had a broad taste of music. Been dabbling with (hardware) synths and lately stoft synth / sample libraries. Haven’t set any goals (maybe I should so I can focus on them…🤪)… I just need to get past the ‘just be noodling around’ part I guess.😎
