Wednesday wins!
Let’s shout em out - big or small!!! My win of the week was running a virtual half over the weekend! It was challenging, but helped me recognize a few areas I’m feeling less strong in and was able to get some advice from my coach on how to tackle and improve 🫡

Honestly I don't find running in the heat that bad, humidity etc sucks but it's so great for my lungs and asthma so I feel like my body weirdly thrives in this environment when I train through the seasons summer is always my best. It also takes much less energy to be hot than cold - your body burns extra energy in the cold with trying to keep the body warm whereas sweating is passive in the body so I'm going to go with that 😂🫶🏻
Wednesday wins (happy april!! 🌸)
Happy April y’all! Let’s shoutout our wins from the week :). I love reading through these!! I’ve had a goal this training block to do most of my strength days at the gym (nothing wrong with at home strength - I just find I get a better quality workout when I go to the gym personally because it holds me more accountable for some reason 😂) So far I’ve made it 3 weeks in the gym! What’s your win this week? 👇

Friday Poll! 💦
What’s your typical hydration situation for long training runs? Feel free to comment why! I prefer a handheld flask to avoid stopping/chafing, & will supplement with a vest for my longest runs.

I can't carry a handheld it makes my feet cramp up (coz what you do with your hands you do with your feet) I need to be hands free

@Kristine Owen Wood if it's like a 15k I will usually run past a coffee shop so I can get a cup of water if I need it, there's one right under Garmin head office I love to hit up ☺️
Training tip Thursday!

I always break things down into running pie 5km is one piece if it's a long run 10k is a piece of running pie. That and what you do with your hands you do with your feet so I play different hand games like I'm carrying ice cream cones in my hands or I'm trying to put little pebbles in my pockets to get the down movement our body craves from our arm movements
