Has the "DM for [resource]" approach been tarnished?
I've been using this in my business content, only after offering value of course. But I have seen a lot of it from people selling a big business promise and using a CTA like "DM me FREEDOM for passive income online". Stuff like that. It's making me feel a bit icky about using it sometimes, in case people think I'm trying to lure them in or something. It's a shame because it can genuinely get conversations going where people might otherwise feel uncomfortable about contacting you. I've also seen people mocking it so that's not helped 😬 Does anyone else feel the same? Am I just seeing it a lot because I use the DM CTA so I'm noticing it more?

@Katherine Mackenzie-Smith Thank you. I've been doing that too. Using Instagram for awareness and then leaving it to them to drop onto my website or DM naturally to start a conversation. I've been thinking about paying for manychat. It's useful as it auto sends links.

@Katherine Mackenzie-Smith That makes sense. So I also use Go High Level so can send a DM after someone comments. However, unlike Many Chat, it doesn't comment on the post as well. Just sends the DM. I find this less useful. But might just be my brain.
What visibility experiments did you test this week?
I'd love to know! I've been playing with some new content formats over on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/miss_kms/ This weekend I'm planning to review my 90 day plan as we're past halfway through the quarter now (wild!) and looking at how my new content ecosystem is working with that. What about you? Let us know below one thing you tried or did this week that was different (or that just works for you every time!)

I've actually been reducing my content and not posting everyday, but twice a week or 3 times a week. I'm still getting seen and still getting follows, requests, etc. Interesting that you don't need to show up everyday. Just consistently.

This is an ongoing thread - drop your question anytime and I'll answer when I can 🥰 And remember, if you're thinking it, someone else is probably stuck on the same thing or it will highlight something someone else really needed to hear right now. If you have questions about: - Any of the videos in the classroom - Content creation, platforms, or growth - Collaboration ideas and referral visibility options - Paid visibility, ads, or opportunities - Email marketing and list growth - Trends or what I'm seeing working right now - Long form content repurposing - Any of my offers in the classroom or elsewhere Drop them below 🌟 Your questions also shape what I make next - so this thread is useful for all of us.

@Katherine Mackenzie-Smith Thank you so much! Yes I've joined with some facebook groups - but honestly, being a mum of 2 boys and home schooling, I hardly have any time. Let me see if I can just do 5 mins a day (when the kids are asleep) that would be better than nothing. I think my bio is optimised and goes to my site. But I need to optimise my site (on my list to do). Re reels/shorts - yes these work for me getting in front of new audiences, but are so time consuming. I was thinking maybe doing more live masterclasses, then upload to YouTube?

@Katherine Mackenzie-Smith Oh how weird. I didn't get any notification that my site was down. What did it show please? Yes I need to re-do my website. It's my plan for this month. :)
Visibility Reset: What are you posting this week?
If visibility has been sitting in the back of your mind again… this is your reset. No overthinking. No perfect plan. Just decide what you’re sharing this week and get it out of your head. What are you posting? - A post - A story - Sharing something you've already created - Something simple just to show up Drop it below 👇 If you’ve been stuck on what to post, start here: Use one simple format, share one idea, and move on. (And if you want something that gives you exactly what to post in 10 minutes, I have something coming for you this week so stay tuned. But, for now, just pick something and go).

I teach Punjabi and I create and sell Punjabi Toys. For my Toys I'm thinking to do an "unboxing" type video on YouTube explaining the product. Now I'm not sure if I want to do a long video with chapters or small videos in a playlist. I think playlist makes more sense. More pings to my subscribers and notifications of a new video uploaded....

@Katherine Mackenzie-Smith Ah ok. Makes it easier for me to do a longer video and less editing. I could do that and have 5. One per toy....

What most people forget about visibility is that it needs to be *intentional* But, as busy solopreneurs, it often ends up as: 👉 Realising you haven't posted in a while, and feel that rush of urgency to get something out NOW so people don't forget about you. 👉 Deciding to launch something and start sending emails to launch it, forgetting people haven't heard from you in months - since the last time you were selling something 😬 👉 Feeling like you're doing a lot - talking about your offer and sharing - but not getting the results "other people" seem to get. It's so easy when we have SO much to do, to forget to have a plan - work behind the scenes for months on an offer or project, and then suddenly explode back into your audience's world out of nowhere. The stress and wasted time and energy required to think of content and marketing strategies on the spot in hopes to scrape in a few sales is EXHAUSTING. No wonder so many people I talk to hate launching, selling, or anything to do with marketing and content creation 👀 Often reverting to last minute (usually misaligned) tactics out of fear another launch will flop. This is what I call 🚨 REACTIVE 🚨 business. It's a nervous system nightmare. And if this feels like how your visibility plan operates, I would love to invite you into the world of: 🌟 PROACTIVE BUSINESS 🌟 AKA Cozy Business. Where you know what you're doing, and why. You have a plan that is firm enough to feel grounded. But flexible enough to flow with you. And this is what we do inside the Cozy Business Quest. 💌 Your invitation, if you would like it: I just launched my brand new 90-Day Expedition training in the classroom and - this week - we are also: → running some live implementation sessions (usually reserved for premium members only) → getting sorted for Q2 with a plan that works for you, → and get any questions or sticking points answered by me and my decades of business and marketing experience. Sound good? Let me make it even better:

Mine is a mix of winging it and planning. I plan the basics. But then add more "me" on a weekly basis or sometimes daily too
