I shoot (OM1 ii) in manual with auto ISO - C1 (ss 1/400 single shot) for portraits/still subjects; C2 (ss1/3200 continuous); C3 for pro shot, all with minor variations depending on conditions.
Wattlebird snack
Spring certainly has our feathered friends busy. I caught this Wattlebird about to grab a morning snack at Bermagui last week. .

Northern Gannets
A pair of northern gannets at Bempton Cliffs in Yorkshire taken in June last year. They're the biggest seabird in the northern hemisphere with a 2 metre (6 foot wing span).

Black-winged Petrel
Black-winged Petrels are amazingly acrobatic flyers, swooping and soaring in randomly different directions. It makes them very hard to capture in flight. I shot many many frames before I got some keepers

Great shots Jono. So hard to get quick small birds like these and to get them so well. Re Bempton Cliffs in Yorkshire, managed to spend several days there in June last year. Fabulous place. Puffins, Kittiwakes, Fulmars, Razorbills, and for me, the stars of the show, the northern gannets. I'll post an image of a mating pair.
