Who got 8 hours?
If you tried the sleep tips - did they help? How is your focus today after a good night's rest?

I got 8 hours of sleep last night. I don’t ever need an alarm clock because my cat always wakes me up very early in the morning. So, I go to bed early at night. Also, I only sleep in about an half an hour about twice a year.
My cat wakes me up!
I am happy to say that I’m blessed with good sleep and I maintain healthy sleep habits. But, it wasn’t always this way. One thing that has really helped me is yoga nidra at bedtime. I appreciate all the great information and insights regarding things we need to do for better focus. Thanks

Day 3 Challenge
Tell me which breaks you tried and what you noticed.

I like having scheduled screen time. That is, I periodically check in to the many apps that help shape my day. How much time I spend online depends on how many appointments I have. I’m not against technology but I want to intentionally limit the amount of attention I give to things online. It’s remarkable how so many businesses are geared towards online activities. When I first started banking online and paying bills online it was a relief to see how time saving that can be. Then I heard about identity theft. So, I realized that these technologies are powers and privileges that we can decide to use for our good. The key is that I have them, as tools; they don’t have me.

@Julie Fratantoni thanks I’ve listened to the video. I am going to incorporate the calming breath for focus at the beginning of my deep thought work early tomorrow morning. I will respond before lunch on Tuesday. However, my schedule is so busy I am not available for the Q&A. Happy Holidays!

I enjoyed intentionally using the calming breath prior to brainstorming for better focus. I am familiar with breath work. In my estimation it does help deliver oxygen into the blood which consequently aids in many functions. Plus, there is scientific evidence to support the benefits of deep breathing.
Bonus challenge
If you were able to avoid your phone for the first 30-60 minutes you were awake, comment and tell me how it went.

I am able to set down the phone on the kitchen counter and walk away. I can check my messages at noon, my designated time for five-ten minutes of phone calls and text messages, with a quick review of my to do list, then off I go again.

@Julie Fratantoni this is from the very old school when our home phone was in the kitchen and our parents imposed a five minute limit on using it.
