How do you deal with feeling rejected?
You know, in the moment for self soothing? It happens to everyone, though some people are better at taking things less personally than myself. lol I like to take a deep breath in and a full breath all the way out, and sit with the feeling. What comes up behind the the rejection: fear of disconnection, feeling judged as inferior, or being replaceable or unimportant. Allowing myself to feel all of it. Processing, observing, to simply be. As I allow myself to accept my feelings, they fade. Little by little. What comes up after the stillness: remembering my value and worth, returning to my center of gravity, accepting that 'No' is often not personal, and ultimately allowing my assumptions to slip off like water. Sometimes all you need is acknowledgement that your feelings matter. This is just how I regulate myself, though. How do you regulate yourself?
