One thing that helps when learning digital marketing is actually applying what you learn instead of just collecting courses and watching tutorials.
I’d use chatgpt.com to brainstorm campaign ideas, canva.com to create content, and floment.ai to keep notes, track tasks, and organize projects as I put those ideas into practice. Even a small campaign is more useful when you can track what you tried, what worked, and what you’d change next time. For those learning digital marketing, do you practice with your own projects or work on real client campaigns?

Thanks, Adel. I’m working on turning written lessons about sales, communication, and practical AI into shorter explanations. Choosing one useful point is the challenge I keep coming back to; there’s plenty of material, but that doesn’t mean it all belongs in one video. For the marketing side, I want to get clearer about what someone can actually do after watching. What kind of project are you practicing with?

@Tony Iverson Exactly, Tony. And sometimes the response tells us the piece came across differently than we meant. That’s worth keeping in the record too.
Do what you want...
As they say, when you start a business to solve a problem or fulfill a need, the money will come, and there will be career satisfaction as well, partly because you are lucky to do what you want, but also because you are solving a problem or fulfilling a need as you do so.

Ankit, asking what people do today seems like a useful place to start. What question helps you get a concrete example instead of a polite “that sounds good”? I’m learning sales, and I’d like to understand the problem in someone’s own words before explaining a solution.

@Lucille Hatton-Jones Lucille, the career-satisfaction part caught my attention too. After years in contracting, I’m learning a different set of skills. What kind of work gives you the strongest sense that you’ve been useful to someone: figuring out their problem, making the solution, or seeing them put it to use?
Service Delivery
It goes without saying that when you offer a solution to a problem, it is just a matter of time till your business picks up, and if you keep engaging your client, then you are more likely to also get ideas as to how to improve service delivery, which will add to running a smooth operation. This is due to the fact that getting client feedback and then tweaking your service or product to actually solve a problem entirely is the reason service delivery will appear more effective because you are genuinely interested in solving a problem, and people see that and will pay for your service and/or product.

Clara, do you have an example of a change in your service that came directly from a client’s feedback? I’d like to understand the step between hearing the comment and deciding what actually needs to change.
Glen here, turning feedback into a useful revision
I’m Glen, learning sales and practical AI after years in contracting. The client-feedback conversations here have me thinking about how to choose the next revision. If three people give three different suggestions, I’d want to understand the problem behind each one before changing everything at once. Someone saying “make it simpler” could mean the wording, the layout, or the next step. How do you clarify feedback before acting on it? Do you ask the person to show where they got stuck, describe what they expected, or try something else? I’d like to learn that part of the process.

Glen here, learning to give a practice website one clear purpose
I’m Glen, with a contracting and graphic design background, now learning sales and practical AI. The website-building discussions here are relevant to what I’m working on. I’d like to get better at defining the purpose before arranging the page: who is visiting, what question should it answer, and what should be easy to do next? A nice layout is more useful when those three things are clear. For those building a practice site, what helped you decide what belonged on the first page? A visitor scenario, a rough sketch, or starting with the most common customer question?

Message before layout is a useful reminder for me, Rehmat. I can spend time arranging a page before deciding what it needs to answer. One question and one clear next action would give the sketch a purpose. How do you find that most common question when the business hasn’t kept track of its inquiries?

@Natalie Carter Thanks, Natalie. That gives me a useful test for every section I’m tempted to add: does it answer their question or help them take the next step? It’s easy for me to get absorbed in the design and forget why somebody opened the page.
