Not sure if it's okay to share this here, but this is for all poetry business owners operating under a LLC in the U.S. I joined a webinar hosted by the IRS today. The financial crimes enforcement network is offering FREE "Beneficial Ownership Information(BOI) report filing through their website: www.fincen.gov/boi It has to be filed before January 1, 2025. They have a Q&A section on their website as well. Have a great day!

Hi everyone! How have you all been doing? Things are going okay on this end. I left here and Instagram/Threads etc about 3 months ago to the day, but I'm slowly working myself back into the system. I just needed some time away from SM to clear my head and figure out my direction in life. I haven't quite done that yet, but I HAVE figured out what directions not to take, so I think that's a major step right there. I'm kind of looking at maybe doing YT and doing a cinematography kind of approach to poetry. I've realized I'm never going to stand up in front of people and recite the things I've written. The strokes in the past have just messed up the brain to much to memorize. But that's okay! I do know how I see things in my mind, and if I take the time, I can bring them out with photographs and videos maybe. So my thinking is to maybe try to bring them out that way. I had a cool idea for a poem I wrote about an old car. "I was with you when you were crying, and your parents were so careful strapping you in and bringing you home. Careful with the bumps! Not too fast..." It's from the view point of a car, from birth, to learning to drive, to the first love, working, starting a family, and all the way to dying, "I was there with you." I thought maybe I could walk around a salvage yard and video walking around as I recite the poem and showing all the old cars wrecked and piled up on top of each other. Kind of bring image to the poem as it is recited. What do y'all think about that? I then thought about placing those kinds of videos on YT and just seeing where it goes from there. But one thing is for sure, I'm am feeling more creative than ever! Anyway, it feels good to be back and can't wait to get going again. Hope you have all been doing well! I think I'm ready to get back in the game now. :)

Hi my beautiful people! First event (Domestic Violence Awareness Poetry Showcase) went so well!! We had music, interpretive dancing, poetry, storytelling, information sharing and Q&A! I'm still in shock! My favorite part is when 3 strangers (dv survivors) were brave enough to ask for my contact info. I got an email from Marriott this morning wanting us to come back for more events at their venue!! I want to thank Christoph and his team for partnering with me! Thank you Christoph for showing up in person! I appreciate you! Took notes on how I can improve some things for my next event! Thank you all for the encouragement! 🥰

Within the last two months I have been requested for speaking engagements (sharing poetry) 6 times, compared to never, and me requesting to share! I'm still requesting and making opportunities for myself (selectively), but the shift has been big since going joining the Poetry Business Network!!!
