At one point, my oldest daughter looked at me and said, “I’m glad I don’t have to do that for a living… that’s a lot of talking.” I laughed… but then it hit me. We may not all speak for a living— but we all communicate to live. Your words are either opening doors… or closing them. Getting better in the world starts with getting better with your words. We’re two and a half months into 2026. You said this year would be different. You said you’d get serious about your goals. You said you’d be all in on your responsibilities. So let me ask you: Have your actions matched your declarations? If not, the good news is this: you still have time. But time alone doesn’t change cycles. Awareness does. Ownership does. Discipline does. Here’s something else to consider: Your habits simply match the level of your identity. If you keep repeating the same patterns, you’ve got to stop and identify what’s keeping you stuck in the same loop over and over again. Because until you confront the pattern, you’ll keep reproducing the problem. This year can still be different. But it won’t become different by intention alone. It becomes different through decision, discipline, and daily execution.
