Consistency Tips in Veo3
Hi guys, I'm working on a pilot episode of an animation I started long time ago, before there even was any good video/ image generative AI tool like the ones we have now. I drew every picture and originally the animation would be more like simple slides with very simple animation, like a very modest motion comic - The best I could do then. Now that we have tools suchs as Veo, that not only animated but gives sound to the clip, I decided to rescue this ideia and I've been working on this since then, taking every scene drew and animating then. But I'm running into an issue: I have a very particular aesthetic, specially in the way I draw eyes (only two little stick-shaped dots). I want the AI to keep my art very consistent but it always messes up with the character's faces. Bellow there's an example: 1) My static art and two animations 2) One output that did the movement I wanted but completely messed up the face 3) One that kept the face consistent but animated the character in a way I dind't wanted with too much moving, and their prompts: 2) Animated scene. Style: pop art, retro, comic art, motion comic. Medium close-up of Carmen’s face, lit by intense cyan-blue shadow and glow, halftone texture intact. Camera: eye-level, 50mm lens. Camera movement: slow push-in toward her face. Expression only: eyebrows furrowed, jaw clenched, teeth slightly gritted, eyes narrowed in anger. No dialogue, no speech, no lip movement — only facial expression. Important: lock character model sheet — keep Carmen’s face, hairstyle, and proportions identical to reference. Eyes must remain exactly as drawn: simple stylized line for pupils, no white of the eye, no redesign, no morphing. Preserve original illustration style. Duration: 8 seconds, 24fps. 3) Animated scene. Style: pop art, retro, comic art, motion comic. Medium close-up of Carmen’s face, lit by blue glow and shadow, halftone texture preserved. Camera: eye-level, 50mm lens. Camera movement: slow push-in toward her face. Expression only: she raises her eyebrows and slightly parts her lips, giving a look of surprise and doubt. No dialogue, no speech, no talking — only facial expression. Lighting: moody cyan-blue highlight against deep shadows. Atmosphere: quiet, tense, introspective. Important: lock character model sheet — maintain exact facial features, hairstyle, and proportions as reference image, no morphing, no redesign, no drift. 8 seconds, 24fps.

@Omar Nelson Whats the pros of 2D animations in Midjourney comparing to Vidu? Like, if I was going to sign to one of these which would you recomend? Also have you worked with 3D aniamtion/ characters as well?

Career pivoting in AI
Hey friends! I've been working in the AI field for a few months as an AI agent and automation engineer, creating solutions with n8n and Make for my clients. I enjoy doing it, but definitely not as much as I enjoy creating ART. I'm an artist at heart, and I chose to work with AI agents because of the leverage: I can create a single solution and sell it to as many clients as I want. It's super scalable, and there are a lot of companies out there looking for this kind of thing. From the very beginning, my goal was to raise money to invest in my own artistic projects. Now, I'm in a tough spot. The AI agents are making me money, but I haven’t been enjoying it much lately. I feel really drawn to creating art with AI (images, videos, music…), and I'm seriously considering pivoting my AI agency to focus on providing creative AI content for clients. But I'm scared. The best tools are very expensive (especially with the dollar being so high in my country), I'm not yet a master when it comes to prompting, and I'm worried that selling creative AI services won’t bring in as much money as the agent work does. Plus, it’s not as scalable — what I create for one client usually can’t be sold to another. So, I’d love to hear from you: does anyone here make money offering creative AI services? Is it really possible to make a good living doing this?

@Pierre-Henry Isidor Thanks my friend!
New experience
It's been a while since I worked on animation. Does anyone know this animation? It was quite famous in my country 20 years ago. The sound effects were quite challenging, but it might still be okay.https://youtu.be/OotnBa9WlA4

Whoah that's insane! Very good. What tools did you use to give this cartoonish movement aspect? Most AI tools screw animations up because you ask then to animated your drawings but they make it too close to realism when it supposed to be a cartoon and i gives that uncanny felling (not necessarily in a cool way).
What Projects Are You Working On This Week?
Hey friends, hope your week is off to a great start. What are you guys working on this week? Any questions, roadblocks, or anything you guys want to share? Personally, my goal this week is to finish getting LinkedIn Certifications setup so that course students and experienced ai filmmakers can start adding their course certification directly to their LinkedIn profiles with a click of a button. Just gotta finish updating the test to accommodate some of the more recent platform changes across the ai media space.

@Muhammad Ismaeel Hi Muhammad, that's really cool! How did you get this client?
Retro style animation
Hello guys! I'm Gabe, new here in the community. I have many creative projects and of them is a comic/ animation label with an aesthetic that is heavly inspired by old marvel comics (like jack kirby's) and old animations (like Filmation's, old Disney stuff or Hannah Barbera's). This is one of my characters. I drew him first, generated a background with ai, then animated with ai and then added some cool retro filters to make it look like an ond footage cartoon scene.

@Brandon Patino Thank you! I drew him digitally in GIMP. I'll show you the original if I find it here. ;)
