Hey friends! I've been working in the AI field for a few months as an AI agent and automation engineer, creating solutions with n8n and Make for my clients. I enjoy doing it, but definitely not as much as I enjoy creating ART. I'm an artist at heart, and I chose to work with AI agents because of the leverage: I can create a single solution and sell it to as many clients as I want. It's super scalable, and there are a lot of companies out there looking for this kind of thing.
From the very beginning, my goal was to raise money to invest in my own artistic projects. Now, I'm in a tough spot. The AI agents are making me money, but I haven’t been enjoying it much lately. I feel really drawn to creating art with AI (images, videos, music…), and I'm seriously considering pivoting my AI agency to focus on providing creative AI content for clients.
But I'm scared.
The best tools are very expensive (especially with the dollar being so high in my country), I'm not yet a master when it comes to prompting, and I'm worried that selling creative AI services won’t bring in as much money as the agent work does. Plus, it’s not as scalable — what I create for one client usually can’t be sold to another.
So, I’d love to hear from you: does anyone here make money offering creative AI services? Is it really possible to make a good living doing this?
