Lead Gen Idea
I have seen a few post in the discussion about this, but I found this last week and wanted to share it. I was going through a period where I was struggling to get leads, also why I joined this community. I needed a low-cost solution and I figured one out and was able to start scraping for about $4. The paid ads route was one that I didn't want to take, so I found a website called Apify.com. Here was the order of operations to complete: 1. Pick who hires you. Like property managers or builders near you. 2. Use a Google Maps actor/scraper. It gets their names, phones, and websites. 3. Put them in a sheet. Call 10 a day. I was able to get just over 1,000 leads this way for about $4. I hope this is useful, crush this week!
Rotating Aliases or Real Names?
Hi everyone, I’m relatively new to cold email, although not to lead generation generally — I’ve mainly used Google Ads, Facebook Ads and SEO in the past. I’m now starting cold outreach for a B2B lead-gen business and I’m trying to understand the best practice around sender identities when using multiple sending domains. Is it generally better to use a real person’s name where that person has a genuine LinkedIn profile and online presence? Or is it acceptable to use different sender aliases that don’t have any online presence? My concern with using a real identity is the footprint across multiple domains. For example, say I eventually have 30 sending domains with up to 3 inboxes per domain. If I used the same person repeatedly, I could end up with addresses like: [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] Then on another domain: [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] …and so on across many domains. Would having essentially the same sender identity repeated across lots of related domains create an undesirable footprint? The alternative would be creating different aliases for different inboxes/domains, which gives much more variation — but those people obviously wouldn't have LinkedIn profiles or any genuine online presence, so potentially there is less trust if a prospect looks them up. So I suppose my main questions are: 1. Do you generally use real identities or aliases for cold-email sending accounts? 2. Is it fine for one real person to appear across multiple sending domains? 3. If so, how much variation, if any, do you use in the actual email addresses? 4. At larger scale — say 20–30 domains and 50–90 inboxes — how do people normally structure sender identities without either creating a huge obvious footprint or inventing dozens of fake people?

I have always used my real name with different variations as you have done. I am currently running 10 inboxes for outbound emails and it hasn't been a problem. This isn't the scale at 90 inboxes so I would also be curious how that works.
CC for Deliverability
Hey guys, Does adding another recipient as a cc on a manual cold email affect your deliverability?

I burned my phone number and had my best month anyway
I dialed my own cell from my work number to find out if my number was dead. Spam Likely. Right there on my screen. You already know what a burned domain does to a campaign. This was the same thing on a different channel. I had been dialing so much from that one number that I cooked it. No dashboard told me. No alert. The call rate fell off a cliff and I had to go check it myself. Then I kept dialing from it anyway. I had no other number at the time. 67 people answered out of 1,278 dials in August. One in nineteen. August was my best unit month ever. Here is how both of those are true at the same time. The dials were nothing special. 1,278 in 28 days is 45.6 a day. The Bridge Group study puts the median SDR at 46 a day. Dead average, on a number that was already burned. Here is the number nobody posts. 1,289 messages I typed myself in August. 1,105 of them were emails, one person at a time, with real research behind each one. 2,024 more went out of my automations that month. None of those are in the number. I am only counting the ones I sat down and wrote. Add 439 texts from my phone. That is 62 personal messages a day, every day, 28 days straight. The published benchmark for personalized outreach is 15 to 17 a day. 1,264 different people heard from me in the CRM alone. 41 closed. The most units I have ever done in a month. I had 34 live calls all month. Do the math on where the rest came from. Jay hands you the machine. He also says, on basically every call, that the research is the part that makes it work. I heard that for nine months before I actually did it. The machine was never the thing I was missing. The homework was. You already know which number in your account you would post if it made you look good. The one you are avoiding is the one telling you something. 👇 Put it below. The number, and what it has been telling you that you keep not acting on. I read every one of these. Ian Ryan Kirk

This is a lot of outreach, cold colling isn't easy. Good work, great post, gives me some motivation to keep dialing my list!

1,000+ emails, good work, that is not easy to do! How are you getting your leads and what qualifies as a "lead"? Any time I have added personalization, seeing something on their website, a build or job they are working on, how long they have been in business. This has helped my open rate and reply rate tremendously! Good work out there!
