Movies about ADHD
I was going to post this as a question - so instead I googled it and here's what I got ----- I would love to hear any thoughts anyone has and / or other movie ideas, critiques etc about movies and ADHD from Google: The best, most comprehensive documentary about ADHD is "The Disruptors" (2022), which highlights how people harness ADHD for success and provides a realistic, positive look at neurodivergent lives. Other top, highly-rated, and often recommended films include: The Disruptors | ADHD Documentary +2 - Best Documentary: The Disruptors (2022) - Focuses on trailblazers and children with ADHD, featuring experts like Dr. Russell Barkley. - Best ADHD Experience: Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) - Frequently cited for simulating the chaos, fast-paced, and impulsive nature of an ADHD brain. - Best Representation (Fiction): The King of Staten Island (2020) - Depicts a young man with clear ADHD symptoms. - Best High-Energy/Hyperfocus: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010) - Mirrors the high-speed, intense focus of ADHD. - Best Family/YA: Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010) - Features a protagonist with ADHD and dyslexia.

@Leonie Osborne In times like these and I've misplaced my phone, I just ask "Computer (Alexa) where's my phone?" and it rings.
Wow! just WOW!
I cannot begin to say thank you for the final reveal that was/is my final report. I cried through the whole thing, it has shown me half remembered feelings that have crippled me for 5 decades. I started a bit apprehensively, but filled everything honestly, that first report made me cry, but the final is like my best self, a reflection that I have not been able to look at for decades, and certainly never believed in. All of my stumbling blocks have been shown to be put there as forms of self protection, or to protect other people from me finding out about their problems/ expectations/limitations. For years I have believed I didnt have the skills to amount to much, lack of concentration, lack of intellect, just general 'lack' and I have allowed that to happen because I trusted those people. I started trying to break the mold a few years ago and now I'm going for the full monty. Its MY time, MY life and I claim it and Im going to run with it! Thank you to Jim and team!

@Máire Garvey If this life is one act, why do we make all these traps, we put them right in our path when we just want to be free...."Living in the Moment" by Jason Mraz. Check it out.
Day 1 Identity
Day 1 I have a bookshelf of books on ADHD, Neurodivergent brains, and changing your life. None of those books gave me this message from Day 1. "FOR REAL CHANGE TO HAPPEN YOU HAVE TO START AT THE IDENTITY LEVEL" I'm not sure how to do that but I am eager to learn.

@Sharon Markell Fien I hear you. Here's a small excerpt from a podcast with Gregg Brayden and some of his thoughts. He was addressing AI taking over spirituality. It's a fascinating and long talk on the YouTube channel "Inspired" with Jean Nolan. It's from August 2025 if you wanna search it.

Cracked open by a late diagnosis
Just finished all 3 sections of my ADHD Snapshot and realised something I've been hiding from myself: I've spent years preaching "know yourself, love yourself" to other people while never once practising it on me. Diagnosis cracked it open. Now I'm watching my "curious academic brain" finally point inward instead of outward and it's terrifying.

Wow...day 1: The trained project manager got hit by perimenopause
I just started the ADHD Awakening Assessment and already named something I've carried for years: there's a gap between my intelligence and my "perform-button." I'm a trained project manager who after hitting perimenopause freezes opening a small project. Turns out the systems I kept failing at were never built for how my brain actually works. Crying now. I feel so seen.

I often find myself thinking of songs as I read through the various threads and conversations here in ADHD Harmony. For this thread, two songs, both by Jason Mraz: 1. Look for the Good 2. Living in the Moment Jason is my top artist of 2025, Spotify confirmed because it was my #1 most played song. In your own time, have a listen. Look out for all the heros in your neighbourhood.
