A Sneak Peek…
Hey KDP family, in another group I’m involved in, we have been talking about being inspired… and mostly we are inspired of others. We are all connected, and this group is very supportive of our growth (thanks @Krista Brea) So, I invite you to take a look at yourself, what you do and who you are…. be Inspired of yourself! 💫 For those of you who know me in here, I started writing a book recently but it was a glimmer, I felt a calling to write a series! Random I know but I’m loving it! I am sharing a win and inspiration of myself and if you feel to, please do the same 🤩 I want to share with you all a page from my 1st book Coco Is Love… I can’t wait for it to be finished and published 🥰 what are your thoughts?

@Nicole Lesley, you are welcome!
Look at the difference of printing costs
on Amazon.com for black-and-white vs. color printing! For a 110-page book: Black and white interior costs $2.32 per book Color interior costs $8.15 per book I guess I am going black and white again! Let's go!

@Bradley Deacon, I love this, thanks for sharing! Color on Kindle makes so much sense! Interesting!

@Nicole Lesley, Yes. You cover the printing costs first, and then you receive roughly 40 to 50 percent of the remaining amount as royalty payouts depending on your settings.
🚀 BIG PERSONAL MILESTONE (Sharing a Win) 🚀
After a long lead time and plenty of quiet work behind the scenes, I’ve finally set the pre-release date for my cyber crime trilogy — 1 September — with pre-orders now live on Amazon. No sales pitch here. Just sharing the win. Hitting that date feels huge. There’s something powerful about locking in a deadline and actually meeting it. One of the best parts of this journey has been this community. The ideas, experience, reality checks, and encouragement here are exactly what I’ll be leaning on next — especially around promotion, launch strategy, and all the things that happen between now and release day. Grateful to be surrounded by people who genuinely get the process. Onward 🚀📚

This is so great, congratulations! 🎉
I’m doing something big, bold, and a little fun this weekend.
As @Krista Brea keeps reminding us, research matters before you publish. I spent time there first and I found a niche that I am genuinely excited about. The search volume is massive and the competition is slim. It fits my brand, it makes sense on KDP, and it is something I can move on quickly. So here is the experiment. This weekend, I am publishing a small collection of low content, full color books on KDP. From research to upload. No perfection. Just execution. I will lightly document the process, but the priority is simple: Books published by the end of the weekend. Why I am doing this: - To test speed and decision making - To learn how color printing changes pricing and margins - To see what actually happens when I ship fast instead of waiting Before the weekend starts, I am finishing and scheduling my YouTube content. That is non negotiable. The sprint only works if the weekend is protected. This is not a new routine yet. It is a focused experiment. If it works, I will consider making this a quarterly publishing sprint. If it does not, I will still have real data and real books live. I will share what I learn as I go. Let’s see what focused execution can do. I will keep you posted!

Creator Spotlight: Journals Built With Intention
I’m a little overdue on this one, but let’s take a moment to talk Journals & Planners—because we have some really good examples inside this community 👏 I recently received journals from two incredible women here, and I want to spotlight their work. @Gale Bates shared her The One Notebook Journal and Daily Journal. These journals reflect her personality so well—clean, thoughtful, and finished with beautiful hibiscus florals inspired by her life in Hawaii 🌺 Gale runs My Mentor Biz and also has a podcast on YouTube. She’s currently in the planning phase with her books and is looking to move her existing journals onto Amazon next, which is an exciting transition to watch. @Sybil Hall is a bestselling author of Burn Bright, Not Out and has a full journal line-up already selling on Amazon. She sent me her Illuminate Journal after I was lucky enough to win her January leaderboard prize 🙌 👉 What’s especially interesting about Sybil’s approach is that her journals are not KDP journals—they’re manufactured and sold through Amazon FBA instead. (Stay tuned… we’re planning a workshop on this strategy in March.) Let’s celebrate these ladies and the journals they’ve created 💖If you have questions about journals, planners, KDP vs FBA, or anything related—drop them in the comments.
