Anyone got good morning prayers?
I did a great one today and I want to do them sooo much more!

I don’t have a specific one. I just wake up and thank God for another day and for protecting me. I ask him to help me make good decisions. I usually listen to the hallow app. My hallow app morning routine: the daily reflection, minute homily with fr. Mike Shmit, and the daily minute

@Joshua Turrentine I’m glad I found the app. It’s helped me a lot.
Question…
I know it says we should forgive those who hurt us because it’s more for ourself than the other person. But how do you do that? There is a prayer that I read in “My Pocket Prayerbook” (the prayer: An Act of love), and in there prayer it says “I forgive all those who have injured me, and ask pardon of all whom I have injured”. I feel a bit ashamed because there are some people I can’t think of forgiving, even if it’s just saying “I forgive you” in my head. So how does someone truly forgives someone else without feeling that in doing so, that other person got their way?

Even when I’m in adoration, I tell our Lord to please forgive me for not being able to fully forgive those ppl. I tell him I’m trying.

shroud of Turin experience
I live in Orange County CA and am lucky enough that we have the Shroud of Turin experience here. I just wanted to share some photos and a video of the experience… for those who aren’t familiar.. the shroud is the linen cloth that Jesus was laid on and covered with… this is more of a projection/replica as the Vatican has the original shroud in storage. You can see all the wounds consistent with his passion- the blood pooling on this left chest where he was pierced, the crown of thorns and the punctures in his head, and over 700 wounds he was inflicted… you can also see his face and the nail holes in his hand. The crazy thing is the image is barely deep into the thread.. I think they said something like .2mm or something crazy like that… it cannot be replicated by any technology that we have.. and the blood type is AB, and matches the same blood type found in Eucharistic miracles.. also consistent with blood that is released when someone has a very traumatic experience. It was an incredible journey into his passion and the evidence he left behind for us that it truly did happen and this is not just about religion.. but also true history.

I went to see that too a couple months ago. I’ve been wanting to go since when they opened, but none of my sisters wanted to go with me and I didn’t want to drive 5+ hours down south. So I waiting until one of my drill weekends and stayed in SoCal an extra day just to go see and experience the shroud of Turin. It was soooo awesome!! I started to bawl my eyes out in the first room when they were going through Jesus’s life. I told my sisters about it and told them that I wanted them to go so my nieces and nephew can also get that experience.

All I kept thinking is how much love Jesus had for us…to go through all of that. And then to imagine his mother, our mother Mary, to have to see all of this. Probably remembering when he was a baby, learning to walk, saying his first words, etc. To seeing him get tortured…just so sad. It makes me want to be a better person because I don’t want his suffering to be for nothing. He did this because he loves me and everyone of us. 🥰 I’m sorry…I just get super excited like a little kid when I start talking about our loving Lord. If he was able to change me and forget me, man, he can do that for anyone.
Hello and thank you for having me!
Hi! My name is Sophia and I live in Southern California. I am a lash artist and photographer. I am the youngest of 14 kids all from the same parents, and I have one daughter that is currently 21 years old. I recently just came back to God after over 20 years of turning away from him…. He called me back in October 2025 and my life has been forever changed since then. I was raised Catholic, and basically went through the motions of school, mass, prayer without ever being taught to or how to have a relationship with God. It wasn’t til now that I’m searching for him and trying to build that relationship with him.. and to understand what it is he is calling me to do with my life that i have had some very profound experiences and conversations with him. I’m looking forward to growing closer to God with each passing day and to connect with others who have beautiful stories to share about his love and mercy… and the graces that he bestows upon us.

@Sophia Ngo It’s sort of a long story…well I think it’s harder for me when I tell it because I get too excited and I start talking fast. Almost feels like when your a little kid and you’re all excited for something and just want to share with everyone you meet. Even as I’m typing this my heart is starting feel all silly and happy bf it’s a bit hard to text. 😂 But yes, it took me about 20yrs to finally return back home to our loving Lord. 😁 I tell people that I lost Jesus, in the desert, on my first deployment in Iraq, and on my third deployment, back in the desert in Kuwait, I found him…well more like he called me by name and found me searching for him. That 1st episode from season 1 from The Chosen, where Jesus found Mary Magdalene and called her by her name, then told her that she was his and he hugged her….i was like “that’s exactly how I felt and what happened to me!” 😁😁 I still get goosebumps when I talk about it. He truly left the 99 to find me and carry me back home. ✝️🙏🏼😁
