Apple is building a “local business platform”. What does that mean for us?
Apple just launched Apple Business (April 14) and I think it’s something we should keep on our radar for Climbo @Giacomo Chinellato. This is not Apple becoming a full reputation management platform (yet). It’s mainly Apple Business Connect + Apple Business Manager + business email/calendar/directory + device management, plus a big focus on local discoverability across Apple Maps, Siri, Spotlight, Wallet, Mail, etc. The part that matters for usis that Apple is making it easier for businesses to manage their Apple Maps presence (place cards, photos, hours, categories, showcases/offers, actions like order/reserve) and they’re introducing Apple Maps ads (starting this summer, US/Canada only). Yes, just like the Google Business Profile we all know. So thinking ahead, knowing how big Apple is worldwide, I see this as an opportunity for Climbo to stand out by supporting Apple (from the beginning) as a channel. Similar to GBP being the #1 channel today. The roadmap ideas I think could be usefull are: 1. Add an “Apple Maps / Apple Business Profile” per location (like the Google Profile feature). Show if the Apple listing is claimed, and manage/track the key place card info (name, address, hours, photos, category, website link, etc.). 2. Add Apple Maps insights to the dashboard (like visibility stats, not just reviews). Show basic Apple Maps performance like searches/views and taps on call/website/directions (even if it starts with manual input/import). 3. Add Apple as a review channel inside Climbo (monitoring + replying workflow). If Apple reviews are available and integration is possible: monitor new Apple reviews and help reply. If not possible yet: at least a link-out button + task/reminder workflow (“new Apple review → go reply”). Even though it’s US/Canada first, I think we should watch far ahead. If Apple pushes this globally, the platforms that move early will stay ahead of the curve, and if we decide it’s needed, we can likely add Apple Maps support faster than most reputation management platforms out there.

I definitely agree that we should support Apple Maps. For me, the priority would be to support collecting/answering reviews. Then a support for profile management and statistics would be very nice. At this point, we can probably help fill in the Apple Profile by syncing the info from Google to Apple. That's exactly the purpose of Climbo: manage several platforms as easily as if you'd manage only one.
Emailit
Hello 👋🏾 what do you think about emailit please ? Can it be an alternative for Brevo to use with climbo ? https://appsumo.com/products/emailit/?query=Emailit#pricing

That's what I use and it works great.

@F A Yes, I use it with Climbo. It's pretty straightforward. In Climbo, you set up your custom mail domain in Brand -> SMTP You enter your emailit credentials that you have created following this doc: https://emailit.com/docs/guides/sending-using-smtp/ Don't hesitate if you have a specific question.
Language and customization in AI response
Even when my client's profile is set up in French and the review is written in French, when I click on "Answer" on a review, the default answer is in English. I can only choose the language afterward but it always messes up the first attempt. The default language for AI answers should be set to, either "automatic detection" or "default language of client's profile". Also, if I want to set up the AI response with tone of voice, language, keywords, etc. it's only available throught the SEO AI agent which is not available if you don't have a Google profile or if you don't want to use the automatic responses. There should be a separate configuration for manual AI responses otherwise many clients won't have access to it. Others have the same problem?

@Giacomo Chinellato Great! Meanwhile the default language is probably an easier change to apply. Probably "automatic detection" is the best.
Video review
Hello, quick one - do we have the option to display video testimonial in the review widget? Or is it only for text based reviews?

Video testimonials appear in the review widget. You see a mix of text and video reviews.
Rating average calculation
Some rating average calculations are confusing on the statistics dashboard. I've opened a discussion with the support about it but thought it'd be interesting to bring it up here. For Trustpilot, they use what they call a TrustScore which is not a plain average but has all sorts of other criterias: https://help.trustpilot.com/s/article/TrustScore-and-star-rating-explained?language=en_US If this TrustScore is used in Climbo, we end up with statistics like "1 five star review = 3.7 average rating" which is very confusing. I would suggest either to rename it in "TrustPilot TrustScore" if we use their number (and maybe with a link to their documentation) or use a real average calculation. For Facebook, the ratings are only in "thumbs up"/"thumbs down" so we don't have a rating based on five stars but a percentage of positive reviews. When I read the numbers of the demo account, it doesn't make any sense (don't know if it's because it's the demo account and the numbers are not really calculated): 35 reviews - 5% positives (only 2 over 35?) you need 25 positive reviews to reach 6%... Facebook displays a five star based rating in Google Search results, I think it would be easier to understand and more uniform with other systems to figure out and use their method of calculation to display this five star rating. Maybe you have other examples from other platforms. Currently, all of this makes the statistics dashboard difficult to understand. What are your thoughts on it?
