I’m really sorry.
I’m sorry you’ve been taught that you can solve ALL your marriage challenges if you could just communicate better. – Communicate better, and everything will be solved only causes discouragement and false hope. This isn’t how it should be. Your marriage should be about discovering which problems are actually solvable, and learning how to compromise in a healthy way while understanding the wounds underneath each other’s needs. I’m on a mission to spread the word about what it really takes to build an emotionally skilled marriage. Have you heard? I created The Emotionally Skilled Marriage — a premium course designed to help you finally see clearly which challenges can truly be fixed, and how to move forward with the other 2/3rds that can’t. We start October 27th, and seats are limited. If you’re ready for a marriage rooted in clarity, compassion, and real solutions, now is the time to step in. Wow! That is such an interesting way to look at it... 🔥 thanks, Seth!
Charlie Kirk
Seeing a video of Charlie Kirk assassinated really troubled me. I didn't ask to see it... it popped up on my feed and I saw the blood coming out of his throat. He was a father to two beautiful babies. How are ya'll handling it in America? I've prayed and cried... Charlie was turning 32 next month, same age as me. I'm devastated... For his wife, the family...

I've purposefully been spending less time on social media at the moment... it's an awful thing that has happened to him and how it's affected his wife and children and I know many have been grieving what has happened to him! 😢🙏🏼 we cried and prayed together at church yesterday about it 🙏🏼 I haven't seen the video of what happened to Charlie, thankfully, but even the graphic words that people have been using about what it looked like e.g. blood coming out of his throat sounds awful enough! I am trying to steer clear of the news on TV and radios too x

@Seth Dahl 😢😢😢
Do you have any tips, please?
Have you or someone you know ever struggled with isolating themselves because of feeling unheard, rejected and or let down by others? What are some tools you use, ideas you have, things you tell yourself or the person to help them out of that place? 🤔

Performing
There are so many times we are performing instead of showing what’s really going on in us. One was to recognize it is when we say we’re “fine” when we aren’t. Here’s an acronym for fine: F-eelings I-nside N-ot E-xpressed Whenever we say we’re fine, it can be helpful to check on ourselves, or our spouse, or our kids, if there are some feelings that need to be expressed.

@Hallie Von Kaenel bless ya, I definitely understand 😢 I'm sorry you experienced that too... 🫂 but glad to hear you find your validation in Jesus... ❤️ Relationship with others is important, too, though 🙏🏼 it's not good for man to live alone (even though getting close to others and trusting them can feel scary when you're still wounded from past disappointment and being mistreated) x
