Keuchmeister Swagger already did an MX type mouse, but it would be nice to actually hear what was being done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCmZ9qQ5sYY
Blender Bros Mech Course
Did anyone bought it? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I bought it but haven't watched it. I got it during the half price sale. I wanted it because it goes thru including a cockpit and has a rigging section. Lots of mech designs look cool, but they're created without much thought to how they'd actually move.

The devil is in the details. There are so many basic tutorials out there, but as someone already said, it's the details that can help make a model look real.

@Joe Kane So do I, but the tutorial market isn’t huge. Doing the same thing as someone else is currently doing would cut into potential sales.

If a mech is going to win, at least do something more interesting than a standard mech. How about a Macross fighter similar to this? https://youtu.be/lqN2fxYhEmU?si=rgnI1yeut3g8yzGc

What happened with the last course poll? Didn't the aircraft like a Grippen get the most votes?
0 likes • Jan 7
@Nikita Kapustin Fair enough. I voted for the Gripen fighter plane again. It has smooth flowing compound curves on the fuselage and hard mechanical bits in the landing gear. The gear would be a good time to go into the mindset of planning parts for animation and checking for them not interpenetrating. There are vector blueprints of the basic fuselage available, so that's another area that could be explored when modeling.
