if I don't have motivation, then I have nothing. Two days prior to Independence day, we lost our car to a freak fire accident. And for those of you that may not know, for the last 3 1/2 years I lived out of my car with my bf and my service dog, up until about 6 months ago. When a friend let us stay in his warehouse. not only was this car our home for a long period of time, but it was also (before it was a housing unit) a high performance fully built race car that my bf and I built together. fast forward a few days later, we find out that we are losing our spot. long story short we were kind of there on the DL until the owner learned we were "living" there, and being the not so kind hearted gentleman he is, kicked us out and is now threatening to keep ALL of our belongings. (Yes, I know we weren't technically supposed to be there, yes I know that the owner under certain circumstances has every right to do what he is doing because we were technically trespassing, however, we were given permission by the property manager (our friend) for a short stay until we could get on our feet better. Plus, were not bad people. We just needed someone to give us a chance and cut us some slack. because basic human decency...) so after 2 heavy loss events, then I find out that Maestro, the only school that is working for me to obtain my goals because of my current situation, is taking an L and may not exist soon. I'm a firm believer that my education and knowledge, is the one thing that can never be repossessed, revoked, garnished, or taken by any other means by which the rug will be ripped out from beneath me. So, I am here. I may be tired and I may be a smidge late, but. I am here. everything else has given its good ole college try at stopping me from reaching my dreams. but I won't stop and I think that a lot of Maestro students are the same. We all come from different backgrounds and walks of life but one thing we have in common, other than being a collective group of guinea pigs together, is that weve all seen rough and tumble times in life, but we valued ourselves enough to pick ourselves up and keep going and improve and overcome.
