I am staying at Maestro
Well after a lot of consideration I have decided to stay with Maestro and get my ASSOCIATES in Ai Software Engineering. This was my goal from the beginning and none of the other schools that were in the teach out plan offered a Ai course anyway so after going over everything and Maestro sent me my new schedule I have decided to stay. In all honesty I never wanted to leave I like the teaching structure I like everything about the academic part of Maestro. I love my peers. So here I am I am scheduled to graduate by June 7, 2027 sooner if I finish sooner. I am HAPPY!!

New (?) Timed Reviews: My thoughts
A small backstory, only to set the stage. I’ve been an engineer, specializing in data for 30 years, both SQL (relational) and NoSQL (document store) alike. Prior timed reviews have taken 30 minutes(ish) to complete, including a sanity check. Today I took the final review for BE103 (SQL and NoSQL Basics) and it took me almost the entire 2 hours to complete (3 minutes left). 10 MQC were easy enough and fast. 5 essay questions that took the majority of the time. The sheer amount of information required to ensure the response fully answered the brief was overwhelming. Doable, but humbling. This is not meant to discourage, but as a cautionary tale to everyone. Ensure you have complete uninterrupted focus! I’ve no idea of this is a result of the changes. I can say with assurance, i was in the middle of a module when the changes went live and the tone noticeably changed. Wishing all nothing but success ❤️ Have an amazing weekend

@Natasha Ackerman Yeah ... I've never really encountered a need but I suspect the intent is written (or printed) notes. I did once, without thinking, ALT-TAB to check my email and it barked at me. In this instance, I was in constant type mode. I know the material, but writing two detailed test plans, describing in detail what's wrong with two given solutions (including a detailed "Why" it's wrong, the conventions it breaks, and the corrected code), etc took almost every minute. In truth, if I had taken the time to review notes, I'm not sure I would've had time to finish. It's also possible I'm having a bad day 🫤 (Right this moment, VERY possible)

Can’t wait til 3rd term! Just passed my final!
I’m so excited to see my new schedule for 3rd term with the accelerated courses. I’m a lil nervous as well😬😬. But I see they lowered the credits for AAS from 107 to 90. And I’m also curious to see if any of the teach out plan applies to bachelor as well… but I’m not worried if it doesn’t… even getting a AAS accredited degree in software engineering & AI is something to show for and will get you in the door… so I’m pretty happy about the teach out plan being finally approved…

I’m reasonably certain that BS is not happening (unfortunately). I’m thrilled at the accelerated schedule (something I’ve asked for since Oct of last year). Lowering credit hours, not so much. In any regard, this was the only positive outcome and I’m thankful for it, s well as happy for everyone who weathered the storm.⛈️ I’m going to see it through and in the spring I’ll just be dual enrolled.

@Ini Eduok Make sure you scroll down and look. The discussions become unordered at some point (they aren’t at the top of the list). They start showing up somewhere in the middle. (Which sounds like an ordering issue 1 vs 01)

Transferring to Columbia college
well it was fun while it lasted I am now a Columbia cougar ❤️🤞🏼 , and am finishing some things to be filled transferred and start classes. Goodbye maestro.

I was accepted into UGA (go Dawgs!) but I drug my feet (life happens) and won’t be starting until spring. My intent was to dual enroll anyway, so I’m here until whatever happens and doubling my workload when spring session starts.

@Malik Davidson I don’t think UGA will accept any of these credits. I didn’t even ask because I’m not going in as a transfer student. However, credits from my other degrees will count for some prerequisite classes. So I should be able to undergrad in less than 3, and will go straight into postgrad after (at least, that’s the plan)
