Coeliac research
Hey team, As a lover of science & research, I'm wondering where to find studies on Coeliac's disease to keep up to date with what's happening. Are there any specific journals associated with publishing these papers/studies?

@Katie York I've since contacted the GP who said it's every 5 years so I'm now wondering if the gastro consultant was correct. GP said I need to go back to check with gastro consultant and get it in writing

@S. Louise Barker The pneumococcal vaccine helps protect against serious illnesses like pneumonia and meningitis.

@Eden Goldby-Timmis I was the same! Found it while investigating iron deficiency

@Eden Goldby-Timmis I've been gf 4.5 years now and I don't have constant fatigue anymore. I get normal tired if I do a lot and sometimes I feel a bit more wiped out than usual and I worry it means I've been glutened. I've only been physically sick a couple of times and think it was gluten. I get digestive issues sometimes but never know if they're due to gluten or not.
Coeliac diagnosis
Hi everyone has anyone else been diagnosed but never had a referral for a dietician or to have a bone scan? Just curious.

I was referred to a dietician after diagnosis but got a phone call 6 months after diagnosis which was a bit useless by that point as I'd educated myself a lot in that time

@Mandy Stockwell That is really frustrating, you should have had contact with a dietician much earlier
Do small amounts of gluten (crumbs) undo all intestine healing?
Hi I’m newly diagnosed, my doctors don’t know much about coeliac disease and I haven’t had my dietician appointment yet. I have been gluten free for two months now but accidentally ingested a very small amount of gluten yesterday, I always see TikTok’s about how even a crumb can damage our intestines so will that crumb of gluten undo my two months of recovery? Sorry if this is a silly question I just haven’t really been educated properly by my doctors.

It is true that a crumb can damage our intestines but it wouldn't undo 2 years of recovery. I don't know how long it will take them to heal again but it won't be 2 years
